Have found the following users abusing their merit to rank up many newbie accounts, usually for insubstantial posts. I wonder why that could be?

Note: The merits were given mostly on Bounty campaigns, meaning they want to keep up with the bounty/signature campaign and some good hearts were/are helping them ( ) . It's not rocket science that given merits were not usual merit sending.

I do not agree with the merit system so I merited those contributing positively to our thread.
If a negative trust is really the course of action here, then so be it. It makes no difference to me or the project I am running.

Been keeping an eye on the recent merit page today.

Have found the following users, all of whom have never sent out a merit before (as you can see by their BPIP Merit Pages), suddenly sending 1 merit to many accounts today. I wonder why that could be?

For the behavior of abusing merit, I think it is difficult to forgive. We get Merit by improving the quality of posting. This is the original intention of creating Merit system, but they do distribute Merit to their own alt, or to motivate their own threads. For example, lin0sspice sends merit to the spams in the thread he manages, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2431660.0, which is unfair to members who have been working hard to improve the quality of the post, Lauda's red mark is the best punishment for members like lin0sspice！

Take a look at the thread, the only ones who were awarded were the ones who posted a comment which I had answered and informed other members of something not previously specified in the thread. This is mainly due to theymos' new merit condition, which allows people to determine who is contributing quality content and who is not. I have operated this project and displayed my trustworthiness to this community for a very long time, and I don't appreciate that it's been quickly taken away for awarding members for positively contributing to my project. I would appreciate if you remove the red trust, or you can change it to a neutral if you really believe that my intentions are malicious, but honestly I do not see any wrong being done here.

As I stated in the thread I was mentioned in, you may keep your negative trust there, it makes no difference to me or the project I have been running for the last year. We have had plans to  move off bitcointalk to our own forum for a while, you have only just expedited those plans.

Though a piece of advice from my foundation of values... if this is the way you treat project owners, especially legitimate ones who have been building their ideas for over a year like myself, then I think you should definitely re-evaluate the consequences to your actions. You will quickly kill off real innovation on this forum and the only projects left will be scams. The way people who have influence over this forum nowadays is not far from a centralist agenda, the very contradiction in which what Satoshi stood for when he built this forum, and the very contradiction of my projects core beliefs and values. Live up to the values of the creator of this forum instead of doing exactly what is making our world a problem today.

That's all I'll have to say for now. If my project is a problem to you and this forum, we will be out of your hair soon.

Here comes the sob story; like the project has any actual value. A hacked account accusation is simply mitigated with a signed message which any sane user would know and trivially provide. If this spread of the merit continues, I'll rewrite the rating mentioning how fraudulent the project is (which it already largely is due to the false comments). Get a hold of yourself and your bullshit centralist agenda; classic scammers.

This is my last post. The accusations on my profile are extremely laughable, so much so that some of the accusations there are blatant lies with absolutley zero concrete evidence...What has happened here is no more than dictatorship, there's not much else to say other than that. After building a web of over 2000 people sharing common values through the velox project, I can safely say that this definitely wont be the last time you hear from me... but the next time you do it wont be from this forum

I give one last request. Give negative trust to every single one of those accounts. You will see the outrage from innocent users shortly after.
