I think the scam is not just happening in the cryptocurrency but also happen in many fields. as long as there are money involved, I think it will attract people to scam other people because they want to make money in a short way. there are the various way that they can use to scam people and we don't know if they are scammers or not and only with careful, we can anticipate their action. don't get attracted with the words saying the big potential income of one project because all the works that we did will need a process that we don't know how long it takes.
the most important factor to avoid fraud usually lies in oneself who really likes something that offers big profits, the way the fraudsters always offer big profits and low costs, so always be careful because there are no big results in this world without work , to avoid fraud always prioritizing security, do research first before stepping so we don't regret it in the future ...
Yeah you are right; scammers are everywhere in the world and in every field of life. Recently in my country some people took billions of dollars from innocent people and told them that they would give them 4% profit on their investment. Just 3 to 4 months they give money to investors from their own money and they disappear from the market. The case is still in the court, but the scammers have pushed that money to other country.

Scammers are every where. They try to take every opportunity to scam people and make easy money off them. It is your responsibility to keep yourself safe from them. The scammers usually leave some trails that can easily be traced. You have to find those trails and spot those scammers out. Like you said, they use bots to increase their visibility in facebook or twitter. Detecting a bot is quite easy. Again, if they are offering something too good, then there is obviously something fishy. You should just stay away from it.

Scamming had always existed long before the Advent of cryptocurrency. Cryptosphere arrival only created another platform to would-be scammers to continue the act, so this is nothing new other than people have to be less greedy and more careful not to get scammed.
Yeah! that's right. Scamming is an old business that existed before any of us were born. But the OP is definitely right about us trying to perform proper assessment before joining any projects.
Also, I believe that in the future as government regulations grow in crypto the rise of scam in crypto will come down.

Not a new thing, but it will always be comparable to the addition of crypto enthusiasts, not only in ICO also on websites that prepare investments with the promise of more profits. It will happen sooner or later, but if you have time for wd before, then you are lucky

This scammers are generally all those who starts a new ICO. Majority of them is considered to be a scam sort because they will get the funding form the investors but their coin will either not get listed or will fall drastically in some time only on listing and they will sell their position and get exit.

You are right; this makes the investor too afraid to invest their money in the ICO projects because they see that many ICO is scam the other. They will stop investing in ICO, and they will search for the other way to invest, and maybe they will stick on the crypto which has a lot of coins that can give profit to them. Day by day, the scammers still increase without we can know, so we need to be careful for this and I hope that this scammer can get something bad, especially for their life.

It is true, scammers are everywhere even before cryptocurrency exist. When there is money, expect scammer will come to the scene because they want a piece of it no matter the consequences will be. The best that we can do is protect our wealth and learned more ways for protection which are available on the net.
This is the big problem in crypto market. Everyone wants to make money on illegal ways. They announce fake ICO, collect funds and ran away. It is hard to know the project authentication. I never believe in such ICOs. I always invest my money in big and reliable coins and which are also listed in exchange. I don’t have enough money to try new experiences.

I disagree, as you have said scammers have been here prior to crypto so for me they will always find a way to scam whether there's regulations or not. Besides if you're going to look at how they works, its like they're always one step ahead of the game. They know the psychology of people and they take advantage of it. So just stay safe and "if it seems too good to be true it probably is", just remember that.

Scammers are not easy to defeat so we as a cryptocurrency members  aren the one to be more careful in choosing a good project or ICO because scammers will do their best to outwit people just for money. Be observant and think many times before joining any projects.

Due to the increased popularity of cryptocurrencies, there has been an increased number of scammers both in terms of ICOs and in social media. You would find "official" representatives that would "propose lucrative deals" in the name of the legit company. There is only one result as a consequence - you losing your assets.
Thus, always keep in mind that real official channels of communications work. Also, if you see those posts in social media promising returns without a legit background (a.k.a. a full-blown platform) is a sure way to lose money. Creating bots on Facebook, Twitter, and Telegram is quite easy these days. Make sure not to repeat mistakes that others made before you https://www.cryptocointrade.com/
Not to mention mining pools and app scams going on right now. Some of the Facebook groups that were excellent in terms of trading discussions now turned into scam marketing sites.
Not a new stuff and actually not a surprising thing and this is not only existing on crypto market alone yet online scams been existing on the very first place which if theres money involved then there would be always those criminal minds to make such thing to get money on the easiest possible way which is thru scamming or swindling and all sorts. Scam do actually continue to exist yet there are still people who do keeps of feeding em up which means our experience and knowledge to these things will surely make these numbers decline.

We want the Far West? We get the Far West. There is no free lunch in this world. Freedom isn't free. The freedom we enjoy in crypto is the same that criminals use to predate victims. We will have to live with that until the day we will decide that the Far West is not for us and we'll give up our freedom to the usual suspects.

This is a market full of sin and deceit. You can not avoid it but your wages will be high. You do not need a college degree or need too much experience. You just need to understand about blockchain technology, you will have a lot of money. That is strengths and weaknesses.

how can you possibly earn a higher wage if you will always been scammed ? scammers ,hackers , fraudsters , and any other illegal activities , etc .. they are the root of all evil in any kinds of market . they will limit our possibilities to earn a huge income if we will fall on their trap . sure you dont need to have a blockchain course or a crypto course in order for you to understand on how cryptocurrency works but you need to equip your self with a good knowledge in order to combat the criminals and bad people around you ..

Scammers have always existed in the crypto-currency field. But with the rise of the ICOs, the frequency has increased by manifold. We need to take adequate precautions, as there is hardly any other option.

You are right,  This year, A lot of scammers, fudders, spammers has come in the crypto field. They are always trying to scam someone's money! Especially in the telegram, You can see how many scammers are active to scam your money. If you post in an ICO related group that I want to invest, how to do it! After some time, you will receive tremendous messages about manual investing in ICO. They will ask your email address and then they will give you a manual address to send ETH to participate in ICOs with 40% discount. I always make them fool, I asked in the group that I want to invest, help me. Scammers message me to invest in manual, I report their profile!  Grin

In twitter, Someone may message you to invest a good ICO, they will give you a site, if you ignore them, they will say this is not a referral link, you can trust this and blah blah blah! So, we have to be cleverer than scammers to be safe from the steal of money.

Schemes that are fraudulent have never been news even before crypto came into existence and I wonder why a lot of you always make it all about cryptocurrency. There has always been different sort of scams in the past and the fact that a lot of people have fallen for it. Do you want to start with Ponzi schemes, or some sites trying to offer what at the end of the day they run with people's funds.

It is not news, it has been happening and it will keep happening. It is only left for each individual to not get greedy and always try to stay informed about certain things before even deciding to join any platform which is one advantage I believe the internet age has brought when it comes to reviews.

Regardless of whether you are professionally engaged in crypto currency or just trying to enter this path, I recommend that you keep track of information on fresh exposures and, in general, about major fraud in this area as often as possible.
Well, fraudulent activities will always be detected as long as you are vigilant in any space you find yourself. The thing with people is that they are always too lazy to look beyond what they are seeing in the open and then try as much as possible to dig further so that they can know if they are on the right track or if they are not. Scammers will always be on the lose as long as they know they will always find scape goats, so it is left for you as an individual to know how not to be one.

It is undeniable that with the increasing popularity of crypto and its widespread and profitable development, there must be many people who have bad thoughts to take advantage of all this.

because many people only know about crypto when the value of coins increases very high, they want to be directly involved in it to be able to get big profits in an instant way and at that time many people used this opportunity to commit fraud and make fraudulent projects to deceive victims who wanted to get wealth quickly.
