Many believed that the inventor of Bitcoin wants to remain anonymous to avoid legal consequences as what happened during 2007 about E-Gold, one of the first digital money (Bernard, 2017). On the other hand, I think it would be better if the founder of Bitcoin will reveal his identity since many countries recognized the essence of this cryptocurrency.

If this might happen, it will contribute for more development of digital currency and regulations in Bitcoin procedures. Also, the acknowledgement must be given for the person who invented the most efficient digital currency in our society.

What are your thoughts?
Remember that Bitcoin is still beta software. Don't put all of your money into BTC!

You're only looking at the bright side, you have to look at the cons too when someone like Satoshi suddenly reveals his/her/their identity. If Satoshi decides to show up, his life will be more riskier than usual knowing that he has a lot of Bitcoin in his wallet. This would put more pressure on Bitcoin now that people knows he's out there. Some could even hunt him down like the government and force him to do things that would destroy Bitcoin. It's best for him to not reveal his identity and if he wants to develop Bitcoin he could just use a different alias.

There is no need for Satoshi to reveal his Identity, as many factors may play against him but not the bitcoin, as to why he invented something that is beyond the control of the government and a threat to a centralized system. As we write, bitcoin has gone beyond Satoshi himself. There is certainly nothing he can do about the bitcoin network now, as the control of the entirely network is not resting on any sole body or person. So staying anonymous is okay. Lets stop and think for a moment: "The name Satoshi Nakamota is more of a mystery than one could easily decode". It's just like the author of "The Mafia Manager" called the V, who is reputed to keeping a several residence, and whose present residence is a guided secret.

What are your thoughts?

his mindset was not really about staying hidden and worried about authorities arresting him for counterfeiting. yea it was a concern in 2008-2009 for him. but it wasnt why he left in 2010-2011. he wasnt so much caring about identity.
for instance he never commented to halfinney, mike hearne, gavin andressen, etc that they should be careful about using their real names.

parts of his final few months were more about not wanting to be the head decision maker he didnt want to review peoples code and vet what should go in or not. he didnt want the fame/leader role. he didnt want to be the go to guy. he wanted people to develop their own code and work as united to discuss the best options available and to develop code that would acivate if everyone (majority) used it

so i dont think he will come back and try to declare leadership. if anything he is probably already involved some where offering tips and tweaking code or spotting bugs or submitting proposals like other do. but just using a new pseudonym

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.
Please do your own research & respect what is written here as both opinion & information gleaned from experience. many people replying with insults but no on-topic content substance, automatically are 'facepalmed' and yawned at

I don't think Satoshi should reveal his identity! Why he should? Bitcoin is going smoothly, if he reveals his identity then many governments will hunt him down. And some country can catch him to down the bitcoin and crypto market totally. Not only The Life, here i would say the world is not roses of bed!

Satoshi Nakamoto revealing himself/herself/themselves would bring an effect to decentralization. One of the reasons why bitcoin is so great compared to other cryptocurrencies is that bitcoin doesn't have a sort of CEO or an entity that's higher among the others; making bitcoin significantly more decentralized.

Satoshi revealing himself/herself/themselves wouldn't bring anything positive to the space anyway, besides just satisfying people's curiosity on who Satoshi is.

So far it has only had a positive effect of not knowing who Satoshi Nakamoto is. Bitcoin has evolved and we do not need to do a study of its developer. Effect of the unknown just to play in his favor. I do not think Satoshi Nakamoto will ever reveal his true identity. It exists and it is enough. Some people have an idea of who it may be because this new idea of Blockchaine was already in the head of 3 people.
Finally the suspense continues and all the better.

I do not see any reason why satoshi should reveal him/her self, after creating this digital currency I think he went anonymous so the currency would continue to remain decentralized, with no one to be pointed out as the "president" of the technology.
I think he's decision should be respected as his return could draw undue attention to himself and lead to some unwanted changes in the bitcoin system.

i believe that one day satoshi or the group behind this name will reveal himself/themselves.
but i don't think it will happen in the near future.
they must be waiting for a time wherein cryptocurrency will be globally accepted already and has stable foundations too.

The fact is you knowing about his identity? How does it help the bitcoin grow rather he will be putting himself in danger, since governemt is not please with bitcoin as they cant find a way to regulate it. To me he can keep his identity i just appreciate him and wish him well.

Nakamoto is right for staying anonymous. The amount of attention he will get should he reveal his true identity will only endanger his life. Yes, it has its perks, but I'm guessing it won't outweigh the risks that come with it.

What are your thoughts?

There's no value in knowing the identity of Satoshi. Only bad things can come of it -- pressure from governments, threats on his life, etc. Bitcoin is much better off without some figurehead like Ethereum has with Vitalik Buterin. Having no founder/leader removes one possible attack vector.

I'm also an advocate for privacy. He/they should just be left alone.

Firstly, who said that he or she is a one person?
It could easily been a group of person or even organisation.

If he is only one person, i dont think that it would be wise to be reveal himself , as i heard there already is people who are prepared to pursue legal action against him.

I think revealing your identity when you handle this type of technology is somewhat dangerous, being the founder you  must have atleast  20% of the total coin volume or maybe less or more, then if you reveal your identity you can be easily targetted by thiefs or worst will die and lose  everything

There are always pros and cons to everything.
Remaining anonymous is the best thing.Already hackers scammers fraudsters and may be few monsters are out there looking for him. Grin
Its very obvious the technology developed and already affected many lives and will be affecting many more.
It is very obvious that you have also interacted or traded with him Cheesy :

Found a nice inspiring line :-
Many have speculated that Nakamoto may be a group of people who pooled their knowledge in order to create the system. Today, the preference for anonymity has gone by the wayside and most developers of crypto projects are much less secretive about their personnel. This may have a lot to do with the need for transparency as the cryptocurrency space becomes saturated with scams or the need to be seen as a successful entrepreneur to inspire investor confidence when doing an ICO.

The popularity of bitcoin is increasingly popular, the poem was founded in 2009 by a mysterious man named Satoshi Nakamoto. Evidently, now 1 bitcoin is worth US $ 19,097 or around Rp. 272 million, according to exchange rates on the Fulus website.

Until now it remains anonymous, but one day there must be someone who revealed this Satoshi Nakamoto, however this discovery is extraordinary, and certainly will be included in the list of technological discoveries and become a history that will not disappear.
It is also natural if you are still anonymous because this is certainly more difficult to express because many are eyeing it and becoming uncontrollable public scrutiny.

In my opinion, it's better to remain Anonymous. If the identity is known to many people, many will hunt down the system and will become individual property. if it has become an individual property it will be very expensive to be able to have Crypto.
Identity is not told to everyone, because the creator of Bitcoin does not want to sell the system to anyone.
