In my opinion Ethereum still become the number 1 altcoin in next acouple years, because this crypto always try to be better. The team development has plan to solve scalability issue by use sharding and plasma and will change from Proof of Work to Proof of Stake. Ethereum will be possible to process amillion transaction persecond and when this success, mass adoption of Ethereum will be huge and more starts ups will use Ethereum blockchain.

As an investor it is up to you, whether to cut your losses or continue holding it, cause after all profit is your's and loss is too only your's.
Recently, Ethereum price got dumped to $167, almost near to last year's low of $144. But it jumped from that low, i.e. $167 and is currently trading at $225-$230 and I believe sustaining above $235, it might to up to $270-$280.

After the big crash that just happened, i think now is the right time to invest in ETH again. Ethereum still will be a good platform. What just happened i think its because there's a people try to make the crypto looks bad and worst. Scam people with a Token looks like cookie just for hype. But sadly, they scam. And after that, they dump the ETH price with all of Ethereum they have.

Ethereum becoming number 1 altcoin is highly not possible, even from start when it was created this hype was their but still it is proving that it is not worthy that much of bitcoin is. The volume of coin created in the market is enough to pull it back to 2nd top altcoin. But even it can lose its 2nd top position when their are so many new altcoins are their in market competing it more better then ETH.

I feel you're missing the fact that Ethereum has been the top altcoin for quite a while now, so it's not "highly not possible", it's been status quo basically. There's currently over saturation of altcoins, they're becoming way too specific and way too niche. Not to say that it's necessarily a bad thing. I'd like to see the likes of XMR / Dash come up above Ethereum as the dominant altcoin but at this point it's pure speculation to say it will absolutely happen.

indeed in the past few days the price of ETH has experienced a very deep decline, and everyone has a different opinion, some think right now is the right time to buy ETH because the price is very cheap and they are likely if the ETH price will be able to bounce back.
and there are some people who have doubts about the current ETH price with a price that continues to decline, arguing that they are afraid that the ETH price will not go up again.
if I personally believe that the price of bitcoin will rebound and the price increase exceeds the highest price yesterday and this is the right time to buy the coin.

Actually, there are various other options to believe outside Ethereum but at the same time, Ethereum will always be a good buy with potentials however the market seems like in the mean time. Problem with people is that they are always so scared when the market is in a downtrend and that is why the smart investors will always have an upper hand. Fluctuating shouldn't be the basis to loss trust to a certain coin. Ethereum platform has been here for years and eth is also a major currency that been accepted in ico. Yes eos is also a potential competitor of eth but stil it will take more years to develop more. Personally, I'm a believer bof eth despite of everything that happened but I'm open for eos and want to see it grow in the community.

I am no specialist but I can tell you one thing which everybody will. Do not underestimate ether as it is the second best coin after bitcoin that has a good potential, a better platform, a large community and is being used in so many places over the internet. The price being so low is not at all a problem since every coin faces this. Look at the history of bitcoin and you will find out how long it took BTC to reach at this level.
