Merit system is not introduced for spending on shitposts. That's what the user did (IMO) and I strongly believe that he has abused the system.

chek2fire is abusing merit system. I am here to prove it.

Check his merit history- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=202602

As he shared merits to the local board, I will share the google translation here. I know google translation will not give the exact meaning, but we can assume how much worthy to merit.

Is there anyone who would be interested in writing an article on my bitcoin site?

It's new to the site and I've already got some positive reviews from a foreign site.

Anyone who has a Bitcoin site or blog and is interested, let me send a personal message.

Tell kids what we sit and talk about. Bitcoin ATMs must be available in Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Heraklion, Larissa and Volos anytime. Well do not mention islands where thousands of tourists are attracted to the summer season.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.
