there is one notable thing you just have to know about Ponzi schemes, any investment were you’re told to put a certain amount of money to get a certain return and you’re not doing any task, your money is just working for you, at the end of the week or months you’re expecting to get your return is obviously a Ponzi scheme, it’s possible they don’t have any office
Ponzi scheme could happen the way you described it, but there's more to that. They could have offices; we've seen a lot of that, and they could be more clever about it to be registered. Again, making your money work for you is not an automatic Ponzi scheme, but the terms and conditions of the payment matters. Imagine investing $200 and you are promised to receive $200 weekly. Is that not too good to be true? But imagine investing $200, and you were promised $10 weekly under standard settings and registration. You should know that one will likely be genuine than the other.

Greed remains the main reason why many people fall for this ponzi schemes, because there is always an outrageous catch that attracts them. More than half of people that get into a ponzi scheme are aware because before they would get to know about that project, someone should have introduced it to them, pointing out that it is potential pomzi scheme.

Yes, as what I have said previously, one of my family friends became a victim because he thought that it's real because he was given the amount as promise. But it was just a trap for him and for other investors.

For sure there could be some that still invest even if at the back of their minds they know that it might be a scam. But if they have been shown proof by others that they get their returns and profits, greed sets in and it's very hard to control it. And then after the scam collapses, that the only time that this victims really realized that it was indeed a ponzi scheme.

I don't think that spotting a scam project is going to be very hard for me except the team was reputable before they turn to scam.
There are so many ways to know what company is looking like a ponzi scheme especially looking at the offer they are presenting to investors on returns. When the return on investment is looking too big or unimaginable so they can get more investors or users, with this sign and other signs, we can easily now that a project offering exorbitant interest is only after scamming investors.
Don't forget that human has some greed factor. A greedy someone will ignore all the red flags and concentrate on the outrageous reward. People who are not enlightened easily fall for this scam. In most cases, the scammers present fake reviews and testimonials which will convince their greedy victims easily.

The best way to avoid Ponzi schemes is to be rooted in ethics and refuse to promote the scheme even if it was to favour you. I had a serious misunderstanding with someone who knew that the system was fake and a Ponzi, he came to me that we should promote the scheme with my influence, to my community and cash out big before the scam exit. There was already a road map of how the exit will happen, but I rejected the bad deal and told him to think about hundreds of people who are going to lose their life savings. There's no difference between him and an armed robber.

So in as much as you can identify a fake project, we should also protect those that cannot identify fake projects by preaching against Ponzi scheme and also not play in when it favours us.

Thank you so much for creating this wonderful thread, it is well structured and arranged, I believe anyone who read this your thread cannot fall victim to ponzi scheme anymore.
Ponzi scheme has really affected a lot of people, some people have committed suicide because of the money they lost in ponzi scheme.
One of the reasons why people fall for this scam is because of greed, and wanting to make money very fast, I have been scammed before through ponzi scheme and I lost huge amount of money.
My advice to everyone is to avoid what seems too good to be true.

Scammers are very trickish, they have many ways of making people to believe that what they are doing is very legit but if you are some one who haven't had any scamming experience before you will definitely be a victim to it most expecially if you are some one that is desperately in need of money.

At first they will make you to believe that it's not a scam investment by allowing you to make some withdrawal so you can invest more money and finally losses everything, ones any investment promises high return in a short period of time just know that is a scam investment and never get involved.

You shouldn't just conclude because their are so many people who know about ponzi and are aware about the risk that is involved in it they still participate in it because they want to outsmart and to get some money from it. Some people are naturally greedy and always want to take risk to make money and people like this would always for into ponzi scheme. Ponzi scheme have been into existence for a longtime and i believe a lot of people are familiar wth what has happened with ponzi scheme of the past but a lot of people still involve in it till now. Had it been ponzi scheme is avoided by people because of what it is , organizers of this scheme wont even be coming with one to the public but it still exist because people are interested in it.

For me it’s very easy to spot a Ponzi scheme because I have previously been a victim of all this Ponzi scheme, so because of my sense of understanding for being a victim of Ponzi schemes, there is one notable thing you just have to know about Ponzi schemes, any investment were you’re told to put a certain amount of money to get a certain return and you’re not doing any task, your money is just working for you, at the end of the week or months you’re expecting to get your return is obviously a Ponzi scheme, it’s possible they don’t have any office, what they do it’s all fake, recently I heard people have been falling victim to Ponzi schemes were they’re told to perform some stupid tasks of submitting book pages, that you have to read all of them all, that was a new tactics that looks like you’re doing something to get the money, what they were doing in those task is something that doesn’t make any sense.
Your experience has taught you how to spot them and you have learnt not to trust them with their fake promises when they ask you to come and invest your money. The pain here is that some people after having this experience will still go ahead to invest money in another ponzi scheme knowing that it will still end like the previous ones.

Ponzi scheme developers has a target before bringing in their projects, they know that without putting out big returns people will not be interested to rush to register and also refer people who will lose money with them. The task they put out is just to make people feel safe and trust them with their money but the moment they get enough money they will run away leaving people empty. Ponzi scheme is nothing but scam people should avoid investing in such rubbish.

Obviously there's is more to Ponzi schemes now. Scammers are getting clever and clever everyday trying to make the settings more real and convincing enough to doubt. It's really an easy thing to set up an office and be registered. Infact they are now aware that the more they invest in the idea and make it look more real the more people and more money they are likely to get form the scam. Ponzi schemes are getting clever and advancing their ideas to convince more people and victimize them. People need to be more vigilant and careful about believing platforms that are making unrealistic promises.
