I noticed recently in many telegram groups that there are people posting messages trying to contact admins about listing their token on their exchange. This is a new type of scam that is actually trying to lore newbies who might be desperate and want to have some sh¥tcoin that they are holding to get listed. Once the newbie contacts the poster of the scam exchange message then they will try to get information about their wallet; etc.. People don’t be gullible; if someone is a representative of an exchange they know how to get in contact with the project via email or other methods. They will not go into a public TG room to try to get a listing. That’s just absurd and we should all be careful of such scams.

It's true what you say, recently there were many new scams on the telegram. Last month, I was cheated and my wallet was hacked. For others, be careful with telegram fraud, enough for me to become a victim.

Man Telegram scams are worst. Just yesterday someone posed himself as Brian Armstrong (CEO of Coinbase) with his full pic and all. And then messaged me about how I feel about current crypto market. After few mins he said that he can get me a Bitcoin at 30% discount from the market. I knew he was a scammer so I just went with the flow. Later he gives me an email to which I should contact after creating a Coinbase account. I then blocked the guy.

Just beware of such scammers. No one is gonna give you anything for a discount. Don't reveal your private keys, passwords even if they say they are support representatives. Good thing is I don't have much cryptos, but still staying safe is very much in our hands.

Actually it's an old strategy of scammer in telegram site, by send personal message to the admin of groups to listed the token. In this incident are obviously scam, imagine, Why people send you personal message for listing? For sure it's a scam.

Sometimes it is our own fault why we become a victim of the scammers and hackers

In telegram theres alot of links that has been sent, and if you are to clumsy to click each and anytime links was posted then maybe thats how they find ways to hack you, because most of the sites that has been posted are phishing sites,so prevent from clicking since you dont have reason to do it

If you are in telegram group, better to stay silent and just read whats going on,so from that you will not become a victim of this brightest criminal ever lived

It isn't always the case some user are also giving some nice intro to hire them on making YouTube videos to get some real investors in the crypto space and sometimes they are using legit Crypto Youtubers on their scheme. Just report them spam or ask the moderators to ban the account that will do the most.

Don't  you know about shady telegram bounty campaign on different newly created project now a days. When you join on it, admin or bounty manager  will instruct you to be sounds or just like a investors who are willing to invest on their project.

You don't need to know the project, just make the telegram active and avoid to be looks like a moderator. Just ask and ask and ask and then you will get stakes. I encounter this few months ago and it's a good strategy to caught the attention of others.

I have seen this old trick method so many times, and i thought that a lot of people in the crypto are smarter than before and that's why these scammers are targetting the developers. I know any exchange site will never try to begging on the developer. So many people have known about this type of scam method but thanks for your awareness.

One way the fraudsters will continue to pursue it. This is very risky, so easily they infiltrate and look for loopholes to attract victims. So you have to be more careful in investing, even if it's by telegram, you must remain vigilant, not to be tempted by coins that are not well known or not in the market or bounty lists on the btt.

I have been a moderator on several ICO projects now and you see all sorts of idiots coming in to the group trying to make themselves sound either important or useful. It's pretty obvious to most people that no exchanged come knocking on your door through your Telegram to offer you a deal. Another big scam are the video production people with thousands of followers that want to promote your project.

Should only be the people running the project that get affected but everyone needs to watch out.

exchanges never offer any services to help registered in their exchanges. but fraud like this don't only occur in telegrams, sometimes via e-mail, slack or other. therefore always be careful and always ignore messages that are not known to the source.

I too have noticed this from sometime now. I dont think many tokens will get into this as real projects aim towards building the project rather than just putting their coin on trade to get a dump.  Roll Eyes

There's too many scams being conducted through Telegram so being vigilant is a must

Don't trade with anyone without using escrow, ignore propositions that appear too good to be true and only invest through official websites and even double check those to ensure they're valid and not a redirect to avoid any of these types of issues

Yes, I also noticed that recently there have been a lot of such scams, but it seems to me there are no such stupid developers who would believe them.

Scammers are always everywhere, and we must be careful. Under current market conditions, we should not easily believe in things related to ICO. thanks for your reminder. I believe this can help many people avoid being cheated.

thanks for the information, this is very useful for me and maybe other people who joined the telegram. currently many scams with certain modes just want to get profit without thinking about the risk that will be received. Increase security and caution in securing your wallet so they are not easily hacked.

I truly believe and support the things you have said. Clearly enough that scammers are everywhere and they try to steal every details or everything that will suit them and it's inevitable. I've joined a lot of telegram groups and most of the time the scammers also join, some will also try to pm you. I suppose we should just be extra careful on what we are doing because scammers are just lurking arround.

That's the first time I heard such thing, maybe the low publication from the victims but it's all revealed, however I sometimes wonder why those reprensentative of such big exchange company coming after newly born project and offering listing while usually it's the project that request their coin to be listened and it need to undergo complicated selection and voting aswell.

I talked to a number of scammers who tried to trick me, the fact that they are scamers become clear immediately and most of them are stupid and do not know English well, but it's striking that they are able to fool somebody, I think that if a person was tricked by such scammers who asks for your private keys in the second message then he himself is to blame for this.

Thank you for sharing this with us.  I just wonder when ever I sow those messages and posts on telegram.  Scammers are becoming wiser daily and there are using many ways now to scam people and the best thing to do is to be careful of them.  At list the owners of the projects should be the one to initiate contact with exchange and not the other way.

Yes, now you have to be careful if you get news from the telegram in the name of the admin of the project that was followed, which often happens now is the scammers usually spread the word that an ico or project is a scam and the scammer is in the name of himself as the admin of the project, so must be careful if suddenly get the news that the project you are following is a scam, you should first make sure the news is true or just a hoax, the scammers intend to panic the participants in the project and intend to thwart the project by make the people leave the project.

I know that and that's why I avoid it, always check and check again. Every day many method comes up with negative impact into customers like us, try to stealing with low profile, i really hate that. In this situation data is the most valuable thing and protection always needed. Never trust any link, news or email to get contact with us. Prepare for the worst and the right step is exchange our asset into currency right now, trust me.

Telegram groups are often used to discuss ideas from a project, someone who offered a list of exchanges in the telegram group was very suspicious, I never trusted that person, all I did was see an announcement from the official channel of the ICO telegram group.

It's true what you say, recently there were many new scams on the telegram. Last month, I was cheated and my wallet was hacked. For others, be careful with telegram fraud, enough for me to become a victim.

if you do not mind tell me more about your hack. how it happened?

the scammers have many ways of being able to make their action succeeded. This is already a risk that must be faced in crypto when sure decided to join in this field. caution is needed because sometimes a lot of promising big results but this is precisely the manner of charlatans to slowly and gradually started to take what we have.

I don't really care about everyone offering something on the telegram, cause i'm sure that many of those offer were scam.
So just a reminder to myself and perhaps to the others that, when you get some private message offering something about your coins or something like that, just ignore them, most probably that were scam

Telegram groups are replete with these sort of requests now and I've never trusted them ab initio. I knew serious exchanges know how to communicate directly with the project team, other than dropping messages on a public forum to get a listing. Here's hoping no one has fallen victim of this new scam methods.

Indeed, from the beginning I know in telegrams, there are indeed many scams like this, I just almost became a victim of fraud. Usually they use admin profile pictures. In fact, I was once almost hit by 0.4 ethereum. I thought he was an admin.
because I used to want to continue trading, I did not accept my verification, and I asked the minister, no one would use the admin profile, and I said that if I wanted to verify, I would have to send 0.4 ethreum to the address that was late.

Actually, telegram becomes very popular for crypto scammers. I would suggest not to deal with anyone thought telegram because most of these accounts are fake. It's not only fake exchanges, scammers also offer the highest price for bitcoin or altcoins comparing to the market price, also offer fake mining contracts and so on.

I have even seen some telegram page trying to clone a real project page just to deceive investors into thinking they are the real deal  Grin. I have seen several scammers trying to approach investors directly to pitch rubbish to them.

Honestly, I believe in every type of attempt scammers may want to bring, for everyone who is smart enough, they will always see the handwriting all over the wall, and this is one thing I believe that people by now should have gotten used to when it comes to their ability to get themselves secured from becoming a victim of scammers.

I believe most gullible and greedy people are normally the targets at the end.

This is useful information. You will help many newcomers avoid the scammers. For myself, I have not been deceived like this. Since I need help, I will send a message directly to admin labeled 'admin' sinking on the telegram. And secondly, the real admin will only require a wallet or transaction history . If they ask me to send a user password or any information that can be logged into my account, or have to send them an ETH value, the BTC will be helped ... I stopped talking to them Immediately because it would be a scammer ... I stop talking immediately with them because that will is a scammer

I am an admin at a project and yes, it's a daily thing nowadays. We have stopped replying and every attempt is an immediate ban. And indeed, a good exchange doesn't have to do anything to get projects listed....even a shitty exchange is not begging in channels. Good tips ts.....hope people don't fall for these scams....

yes, that's why you must always be diligent in searching for all information, especially in the telegram network. there are many modes that bastards do to fool beginners as their target. I often encounter such things on telegraph channels, which is why you have to report them.

if strangers write to me in a personal, I immediately block them. After all, as a rule, only fraudsters write first. although sometimes out of boredom I can scoff at them when they offer to buy a project coin at a super favorable price especially for me) I pretend that I bought it and give me the address to send. after in Photoshop I do the screen saying the transaction went) the most fun is that when I see this screen, they immediately block me, but when I check in the locker and see that there is no transaction removed from the black list and again they write))

Scammers are now very divorced, and we need to be extremely attentive. In groups of telegrams it is always written that no administrator will send you a private message. Listing on the exchange is a lot of money, so this type of fraud is absurd.

Yes, it happens and such messages are sent often on ico groups. In theory, the project itself should contact a particular exchange and not the exchange to write it in a telegram as it is not serious. Especially since they write that they are from the new Asian exchanges about which no one has heard. It seems that they just want to cheat and there will be no listing of the token to the exchange.

Right. Currently on the telegram many scam cases. Not only that, they cheated in more ways. So as a Telegram user, be careful and watch out for strangers when they send you private messages.

This is not a new kind of fraud. People have always written and will write stupid messages in telegrams.

They promise gold mountains in ICO projects or other services. Be attentive and always check the official contracts of companies

Correspondence in telegram groups is very dangerous. Sometimes fake bounty managers or admins, you can request personal information from you, people who introduce you may harm. We must pay much attention. We've seen things like this for a long time.

There will always be different types and level of scam every single time and I believe that as time goes on, there will be more. It is only left for each individual to be smart to never give any of their private information to anyone or any website all in the name of some listing or whatever move the scammers may want to approach with.

By this stage, I believe that most people should be enlightened enough on how to stay secured and connected to the way things should be done in terms of securing their assets rather than getting gullible and falling a victim. It looks though like telegram is the new home for scammers in which they get to target their prey.

Scam is growing very fast it is like tumor of the crypto that kills it inside. Telegram is stronger platform so I believe that it will solve this problem faster that other resources.

Thank you for posting it. It's always good to be aware than be victimized although I have always been very careful with my cryptos but still, we can never tell sometimes if we are dealing with someone legit or not. This is indeed a risky business so it always pay to be vigilant all the time.

Be more careful, there are a lot of scammers in telegram that want to get your private key. Also most of them disguised themselves as bounty managers and try to sell tokens to you. Remember that bounty manager never write the first.

This method of fraud is now very often used, alas, a lot of people who do not understand anything in wallets and are ready to provide a private key on demand or make a transfer in the hope of getting tokens. I think that's why the United States banned non-accredited investors from participating in crowdfunding.

This situation with scam is becoming worse and worse every day. Telegram was the last platform that I thought would not be scammed. It's pity to see that.

This is also one of the orders of the day when it comes to scam in the crypto space. I see this to be predominant in many projects that i am in. Scammers device different means these days.
Some project team or admin that know about it, would just tell them to mail and send their proposal to a particular email. Which is one of the ways to wade them off.

I hate this scammer when they contact me in telegram and also my Twitter and Facebook. They offer me something that not make sense at all. Just report this kind of people's and block them. Do not trust unknown person from cryptocurrency. I never trust whoever's that chat me.

One of the recent telegram scam I have noticed is the one where people create a group and name it Binance Giveaway or something similar just to scam people. They usually have people who claim to have receive 10X of their money after sending BTC or ETH to a particular address. Please everyone really need to be careful now.

Very strange scam to say at least)) Personally I would never fall into such an absurd deception if even I were seeking to list my shitcoin on some exchange. It's straight clear the admins of exchanges would never contact you first via telegram and ask for some private info or just to send all of your crypto to them))

It's true what you say, recently there were many new scams on the telegram. Last month, I was cheated and my wallet was hacked. For others, be careful with telegram fraud, enough for me to become a victim.

Try to explain how you can become a victim? from the first time to the end so everyone knows the flow of the incident so that there will be no more victims like you

Part of what I have also observed as telegram scam, I don't know if I'm right, is that some people or somebody will just create a fake airdrop and invite people to participate by chatting with the BOT. They promise participants huge amount of their fake coins. At the end of a very long wait for the coin to enter your wallet, eventually there won't be anything. I think they are using that telegram groups they're creating with their fraudulent coins for something.

I've noticed some people claiming they are employee in some exchanges and they want to contact the developer to make an offer. I don't know if they are legit and maybe some of them and I'm sure some are impostors.

there is so much that can happen on telegram forms that are free to be followed by anyone who is interested, but it also has a high level of risk scamer, so however, as a smart crypto user, we all have to be careful about all that

I also saw this and I also often get new messages from someone unknown in telegaram who offers ico and even free coins by including a link. I think they can spread phishing links to steal all of our important data especially if we are told to enter a private key for sure it is clear that the person wants to cheat you. the most important thing is to avoid unclear transactions even if it looks profitable, and see sources that are truly trusted if you want to transact both on the telegram and wherever it is.

Thank you for posting this because it seems now with each passing day there is new type of scam being shelled out to scam people of their coins. We should all be careful when it comes to the kind of coins that invest in. There are a lot of scams which are hiding under the guise of airdrops and the likes on telegram and they are ripping so many people off.
