imho 5 of usd is too high for ripple, 1$ or 2$ will be very good for holders, this bump was very predictable, however with such good develop it can go at 3$, and I'm sure ripple will replace ethereum very soon at top2.

If there is another big bull run and BTC will go up more than the $20k value like last year then XRP will be at 5$. Last year we predicted 5$ and it went to the 3.83 USD. A few days back I seen the price Ripple rose very drastically, and now it happened again. Many people who consider and even look one eye at Ripple cause the issues stating that Ripple doesn't have a decentralized system. Did you know that everything is possible? We can't predict on what will happen this coming week, months or a year. The price of ripple now are pumping and many people are saying that it will replace the ethereum in second place. But this year I think that is impossible,  because the marketcap is already too big and the multipliers (the ROI) won't be the same, actually this is just like pure math.

There is no point in investing into Ripple as it is clearly against the concept of crypto currency but some greedy users who wants a temporary gain will invest into ripple and cash out right before the fall , no matter if ripple cross $5 or $50 still the dev team can manipulate the value by supply more coin into the market to drop it's value and reinvest.

I am not sure that ripple will cross $5 in this year. Because now the price of ripple is not good enough. It is true that the price of ripple has increased than before. Asides being a centralized coin, I've studied the price movements of Ripple in the past week and it's safe to say it's just a pump and dump coin in my opinion. Whales come out and pump real hard, and then suddenly then dump on you, $5 is too ambitious, it first needs to reach it's ATH of $3 which will hardly happen except there's a BTC bull run

In my opinion, $ 2 is the highest ripple that can be achieved this year. 2018 is a dismal year for the electronic money market and the ripple is hardly reaching $ 5 in 2018.
