This is one of the main reason why merit system was applied. Because many of us are in this forum wants to EARN not to LEARN. They want to reach the top without without making effort. Patience is the key. Everything happens for a reason. If we rush on ranking up the more it can frustrate us and do spamming which could lead banning our accounts. Everything has its perfect timing.

To be honest, I did not get what you are talking about.

If you are talking about the principle and virtue of patience, then I will say that in every circumstances, you need patience for your to succeed.  Success is not just about ups and downs but also waiting time.  There are times that you need to wait for something and need patience before making another step.
This is a general concept that is easy to say but hard to implement.

If you are talking about ranking up in the forum,
then you need patience to read and do research.  Learning process always takes time hence try reading a lot and not just babbling nonsense in answering another's post.

You can move up in ranks if you take some time off your busy schedule to learn about crypto and share that information with others on the forum. You can also learn by reading posts of those with higher ranks because they are more experienced and have knowledge on a lot of things.

It is not a race to achieve a higher position on this forum. There are a lot of people with a wealth of knowledge on a broad range of topics that has a lower "rank" on this forum.

The real race is the collection of enough bitcoins before it is all mined or too expensive to be profitable to invest in it. We know more than 70% of all coins has been mined and most of these coins are being hoarded, so it is a race to own the available coins that are left. 

You should focus your attention on the things that really matter.

Rather spiritual I must say … I’m not sure what you mean by “those who have risen to the top”, since that is subject to multiple interpretations (on the cryptosphere, on the forum in terms of merit, in terms of knowledge, in terms of account farming (joking), etc.).

Normally I find that it is ok to take a look at how those at the top of whatever made it there, but the general mass of people (amongst which I include myself) need to have lower realistic feasible objectives, and therefore references.
