ETH not dead, Austria to Use Eth Public Blockchain to Issue billions in Gov bond

Read a news online via cointelegrah stating; "Austria’s government is set to use the Ethereum (ETH) public blockchain to issue €1.15 billion ($1.35 billion) of government bonds in an auction next week". This topic caption is as a respond to the numerous topic caption I saw on this board saying ethereum blockchain is dead and will be replaced by EOS and the rest . And also I hope on restoring some hope to the long term hodlers.

they are not dead yet but they will both die one day because it is a flawed project from the base up.
I believe that ETH will die slowly and later because it is manipulated by the devs and the foundation and they have limitless money to throw at it.

Just to make it clear to you all, the ethereum blockchain is here to stay and will dominate the DAPP for a very long time. (if not forever). Just as Bitcoin is the king, Ethereum is the queen (gives birth to altcoins) and it's the first wife, others are just "other wives". The government believes in its technology that's why, Oesterreichische Kontrollbank (OeKB) — one of Austria’s biggest banks with $26 billion in assets in 2017 — will reportedly operate the live blockchain notarization service. During the auction, scheduled for October 2, the bank will issue the bonds on behalf of the Austrian Treasury (OeBFA) and it will be done using the ethereum blockchain technology.

Don't regret investing in ETH, the hype of those Dapp will die off surely, just as it happened to Neo others will follow. Lets not give up hope on eth, the team are developing the technology day in day out that's why we have different ERC tokens. with time ethereum blockchain will become perfect don't give up on it.

ETH don't need to respond for it to be real, eth is a decentralized blockchain technology that can be used by either individual or government body anytime anyplace. If
it was not real the Australia government would have responded few hours or days after the publication was made but they didn't, that can only mean the information is accurate.

I also saw this news today where it was stated that Australian government is in debt and have resorts ethereum blockchain as a way of solving the problem.
I am very sure that if Australian government succeeds with this, which i believe it will be possible, other countries that are not yet into blockchain will come run after it.

Good to see now some Gov are going to use block-chain technology. Many good news coming day by day. But seems like market don't respond to good news except bad news.  Have to see what's changes will be came after the next hard-fork in ETH block-chain.

News is almost certainly legit, quoted source, Kleine Zeitung, is the largest regional newspaper and in top 10 largest news-media in Austria. So wouldn't make the story up.

Ethereum devs are in no way obligated to 'respond' to anything. As far as we know, they're not even involved in it and probably have the same knowledge as any other person.

News is indeed bullish, but it's not as big as it might sound. It's not like Austria is issuing bonds on-chain. They just use ETH blockchain in parallel to traditional system for extra security.

Its still not sure but since ETH is really a good one, it will bounce back again. Holding ETH for a year will be fine for me, I expect more pump next year in cryptomarket and of course ETH will benefit on that so better to keep holding.

I heard not only austria but swiss has already created the blockchain explorer through use the ethereum platform, you can try to find the more news on the various crypto neews sites. more and more involvement of government in the crypto will bring a lot of positive impact to the platform itself because it can be considered as another advertisement to spread the word of ethereum.

This is a great development for ETH as the Austrian government had supported the use of ETH blockchain technology and this could mean a great recovery for ETH. Soon we will be seeing ETH on the progress of it's growth in the coming months and more investors will be back to re-invest again because of this development. Its good to see, how other governments respond to the increasing demand of blockchain technology, this is pretty good to the side of ethereum, they have gained a lot of support from the community, so this means that the ethereum has the future and can build the economy of any state. What you mean by response? Like a feedback from the team or pump on the market? I think ethereum has too many stuff to do than work out on every speculation that comes up with the market. I'm not saying it's just a speculation, or just to shill eth but the source of the news should be credible enough to be regarded as true news or info. If eth doesn't feedback yet, well it doesn't mean that isnt true or confirmes yet. It's better to be sure than saying a public info which aren't confirmes yet.

you are right, all news can be made and deliberately manipulated to convince others and can make movements or pumps to the market. we don't know about the truth about this news and maybe we wait until both parties give their official statement.

I wouldn't say that ETH is dying but its on a survival mode. But to fair with ETH, all coins are also on a downward spiral because we're obviously on a bearish trend. For it to grow, ETH should address its scalability issues and stop the drama within their team. And I would say that this is really a great news and I do hope that it will bring back the confidence of investors. Its just sad that the its been a struggle for ETH after touching all-time-high this year.

ETH is the only working and dependable side chain platform. It's decentralized and not controlled by anyone making it a transparent platform.
Many of the so called competitor are still on their early phase and it would take them a lot of time to gain the trust and popularity  ETH has.
ETH would soon establish itself is the number one coin by marketcap.
