You're wrong. If he already had activity 500 - he can restore it at least for 1 day.

PeterI didn't delete all his old posts. Activity requires at least one post within a 2 week interval to go gain "potential Activity". I think PeterI still had that, while Ajpa94 lost his potential Activity completely.

PeterI didn't delete all his old posts. Activity requires at least one post within a 2 week interval to go gain "potential Activity". I think PeterI still had that, while Ajpa94 lost his potential Activity completely.

I think it's much easier: rule 14 activity for 14 days only works to get a new activity, not to restore the old activity. If it worked differently, he wouldn't be able to get 620 activity in 200 days.

Looking over some BD snapshots, his activity has risen every week in numbers equivalent (nearly exactly), to the number of posts made during that week, going up for example 52 activity points in a week after posting the same amount of posts (BD 20180615):

I'm fairly sure that's not the case here. If you were right, then there would need to be data stored for activity periods in which a user has posted for each account rather than a check for posts in a given time-frame.

If I were to delete my first 200 posts, I would see a decrease in activity. This is because I have to have at least one post in any given activity period to qualify for the potential activity.

Most users have more Posts than Activity. A-Bolt's Activity is only limited by his Post count, which means all he has to do to become Legendary is create a few more posts.

Well said. And it is obvious he is not a very active member because he created the account in 2011. Most of his contemporaries who were more active than he is has become Legendary.

It is not late for him though.

I think the most unlucky in this list can be considered TMAN, because only he earn merit sufficient to become a Legend. The rest just former Legends that due to deleted posts become Hero Member.

S/he didn't hit legendary because he has not posted minimum required post for increasing activity. He will be Legendary if he post one time now. Last post was from April although he is active now.

I think we’re confusing some things here: @LordPiccolo has the merit by means of the initial airdrop, but has not earned any merits since. The initial airdrop in his case was of 1000 despite being a hero (theymos made some exceptions and awarded some heroes 1000 merits instead of 500). What his account lacked was activity, or at least the kick-in activity threshold for his case.

My case is completely different. I had 0 initial airdrop (was not a member or above at the time), and the 1k++ merits qualify for Legendary, but activity is way off, so I shall need around a year and a half to formally become one, give or take ...

Actually these people are not unlucky they are in fact so lucky to be an early member of Bitcointalk and got that rank, compare to us latecomers who are having a hard time getting merit, well I'm not into merit since I'm ok with my rank and being able to get a few stakes from my campaigns.
