So you can only solve the puzzle if you are a some kind ofphotographer, hmm.

Probably more like stenography instead.

There is a step by step video tutorial on how to reveal THE HIDDEN LAYER in the puzzle. It is real.

UPDATE:

- Oct 4 2018: Someone is right on track and moved the funds from the 0.1 BTC address.

A guy called "Lustre" told me he managed to decode it. Good job!

this looks very bad for us the unintelligent

a friend told me how the .1 BTC was accessed and I know of 3 encrypted files (pure salted string, pkzip with salted string inside and the rar with password protection) hidden in the image, the qr, and the special image inside with additional chars (this was rather clever, i have to admit). now everything is password protected and i'm stuck

Did you plan this puzzle to be solved sooner rather than later? Do you hope for weeks, months or years?

This is my first experiment and I did not design this thing with a particular time frame in mind.
It could be solved in a matter of days, it might take months. I don't know.

Is your friend "Lustre"?, the guy who found the 0.1?.

Obviously. You can't spend BTC without the private key.

we decoded one of the encrypted files.
it reads "Well done! Now find something interesting here:"
followed by a bunch of seemingly random numbers.

how many steps are there?
can you give us numbers?

oh and I can no longer access your site after scanning things.
can you unblock?

If you want to solve a $2 million dollar problem, be a $3 million dollar man. If you are not a $3 million dollar man, think like one!

I believe I am going to employ 15 persons on $2k/month for just one month (it's not a big amount so those smart people should take this risk with me). If we find it, we share the prize. If we don't find it, we enjoy the experience we had together and me losing some cash. I think you must be crazy to believe you can do it alone.
This guy is for sure a genius who can solve world's problems with his knowledge and skills. I would have loved receiving more information because it was unclear whether we were looking for the mnemonic, private key or anything else.

Regarding the challenge, the guy is too smart to allow you getting 310.00 BTC without getting first 0.1 -> 0.2 -> 0.31 BTC
He is smart, he probably has an entrepreneurial mind. Would people still try to get the 0.2 and 0.31 BTC if the 310 BTC would be already rewarded? Probably not.

How about this little theory:

A hacker has commited a grand bitcoin theft a while ago and is now trying to clear the trails to these Bitcoins through a puzzle. The one who will win the grand prize is the hacker himself, who can now hide behind the claim he has won the Bitcoins with his sheer knowledge.

Edit: Maybe the victims can ask for a subpoena to check a certain Binance account? Maybe there is another account at Polo, that might be interesting for LE.

A few addons to my theory:
(OP's wallet from 04-04-2018 until now)
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/3KCEGC4GaATQCnzogrpSDRJLKAjWvgudmW (OP's wallet from 04-04-2018 until now)
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/13hLyfRHg7p9Zw7WHToRT67JR1HR92Mvxw (OP's wallet until 04-04-2018)

Maybe the 0.1 wallet is part of something bigger. Maybe it's not.
Either way, if I were to publish the steps, I would be unintentionally giving that away and it is too early for hints already.
