Satellite Internet for miners?

Hey wise miners, does anyone have experience running miners on a satellite internet connection? One with like a 50gb soft cap and then they really slow your speeds?

I have access to cheap power and it would be really expensive to run cable to this place, I want to use satellite internet but I would be putting about 200 miners and using a VPN to connect to them, will this use more than 50gb of data per month?

Doing some really rough math, 50 GB per month comes out to just under 150 kbps.

If you have internal dhcp / dns / ntp servers then it seems like you can have around 4 miners per kbps if each miner connects to the pool individually.

So I'd offer super rough estimate of 600 S9 miners if you are limited to 50 GB of traffic per month.

Of course, if your bandwidth is just limited instead of cut off completely, just take that super slow speed in kbps and multiply by 4 to find your capacity.

You should also consider the latency between your miners and the network. It will take longer for you to receive new work items from the network as well as increase the time before the network receives any shares / block solves that your miners produce.

Do you have alternatives such as microwave internet service in your town?  I've had to go with a microwave service at a out-of-town building in central Washington and it works great.  I'm not sure the latency on it, but it must be better than satellite.  Also, I use remote access with it all the time without issues.
