BTC sent Mycelium BCH address

I gave someone my Mycelium BCH wallet address. They didn't realize BTC and BCH are different so they sent BTC to my BCH mycelium wallet. Anyone know how to get it out?

I have the 12 word backup / pass phrase from my mycelium wallet but cannot find anywhere to export my BCH private key from Mycelium.

Step by step instructions appreciated.

Did the transaction went through with confirmations?
If it did, I will assume that the address format starts with "1"; if it is the new type "q" addresses, the transaction cannot be generated at all.

Anyways, in case that it starts with 1, you need to export the private key of that particular address and import it in a Bitcoin TrCash wallet like Electron Cash.
But Mycelium doesn't have such option, you need to manually generate it using other tools like https://iancoleman.io/bip39/.

But I'm afraid I cannot help you further with this since I'm not familiar with Bitcoin cash seed tools.
You can move this to Mycelium child-board for more accurate support.

I have seen some people use Coinomi to import their Mycelium seed in. It'll then show both your bitcoin balance, and that of your bitcoin cash (if any).

You might want to give that a try, although i'm not entirely sure if the seed they generate for BCH wallets is that same as that of BTC wallets. (?)

He received bitcoin in a BCH wallet. Seems like it should be the other way around?

I believe the easiest way is to download coinomi Wallet. Then create new Wallet

Then go to iancoleman.io/bip39, and insert your seed (keep coin as btc).

Finally, look for your public address. Click on its Private key and scan it with your BTC coinomi wallet.

Your coins shouldd be restored

The easiest way would probably be to import your mycelium seed into coinomi, both follow BIP44.
But note, that you shouldn't use this seed anymore afterwards. Regard it as compromised after importing it anywhere (but keep a copy of your seed - just in case).

To restore a wallet in coinomi: "Settings > Create / Restore wallet > Restore a wallet"
