if you say so, you think that will never be a bull run like the past bull run in the future...
well, i'm pretty sure that there will be an other great bull run, but not before 2020..
Yes I also agree with you until 2020, I do not think there will another Bull run like 2017.

.... nor I want to speculate.
when you are talking about what price is the possible price for bitcoin then you are speculating! October 2018 ICOs have failed, most of the ALTs are below their ICO price. That means, Now there are less Fool and people have started understanding the concept. no more Sheeps to slaughter ... Much harder to manipulate price (or atleast people are aware of it.
this has little to do with bitcoin. this trend or better said "cycle" of pump and dump happens among altcoins every now and then. usually every summer we have something like this when there is a lot of altcoin pumps which eventually get dumped on their newbie bag holders. As an example, Think like --- Lots of people were hodling when Bitcoin touched 20K.... But now repent doing so... 100% if Bitcoin price surges to even 9000$, they will dump knowing there will be again a correction.
that doesn't sound like a logical move from a normal person to me. you are saying a person who has held for 10+ months from $20000 down to $5800 is going to sell if price goes to $9000! let me ask you this: why did this person hold for this long? why didn't he sell the first time price recovered to $9900 after dropping to near $6k? why didn't he sell the second time price fell to $6k and recovered to $8-9k? why not the third? what makes this time any different for this particular type of person? Most of them were hoping that the price might again touch $20k after a little nit of correction. Ultimately this never happened in last 10 month. Now as soon as the price goes to the level of 9k$, they will sell Bitcoin to cover their losses, which again I doubt will happen this year.

In fact, if we look at the market in the long term, not in the last one year, we can see that Bitcoin is still in the bull period. Bitcoin's movement since December is just a correction. Last year's Bitcoin's price is $ 4438. So if you made your investment last year or before, Bitcoin is still in the bull period for you. So when does this correcton end? Unfortunately we cannot know this, but we can improve ourselves in technical analysis and find estimated dates.

Its a possibility. A lot of traders have bought at a price of $6000, when it goes high maybe $10k, they're not going to wait for it to go up a little more but taking profit is logical. Its the most thing that will happen as they'd think getting more before is too late. There are big players in the market that just joined, they will keep accumulating until they are not done, the price will keep swinging at a certain range.

I think that it will be but not as big growth as it was last year, so waiting for a big breakthrough makes no sense the miracle ended when the bears put their paws on the market

It will be difficult to have another bull run like 2017. But most technical analysis says there is not much space to go down anymore. So up is the only way. But I assume this time it will be more like a consistent growth rather than 20-30% increment overnight.

Yes, logically you are right. If this year start bull run then people will dump the price by selling them. If bull runs not start this year I think in 2019 bull run will start. though many expert trades saying that bull run can start this year any time but I don't believe this prediction.I am waiting for 2019 bull run

There is possibility in crypto even though market analysis predicted that boom should be expected by end of 2019 to 2020.but anything is possible in Cryptocurrency.. There are so many expectations now and I still believe there could be a surge before the year end

it seems you have to read more and learn more about what is bitcoin and what is ICO. everything you say based on your logic alone is not in my mind. do not expect bull run to come if there are many people who have a mindset like you.

We still predicting without knowing the truth because we don't know if there is the bull run in this year or not. But if we take a look at the price, we are a long time to stay at the bottom price, and even we reached the lowest price again after its happen in 2013. But I am sure that slowly the price will rise and there is no one can stop this because they cannot predict when this will happen and they only shock when they see the price is starting to rally. Bitcoin still has a long journey, and it will increase in someday, and if in this year, the bull does not come, then we have to wait until it happens.

Crypto market is volatile and fluctuates every hour. So the nature of the market is such that we cannot predetermine anything in advance. Speculations for the coming year, coming 10th year anniversary of the bitcoin are in the favour of a bull rain. Although there are counter arguments prevailing to this effect, but the upsurge in the prices is for sure, be it a $15k mark or $20k! I'm anticipating a bull run in the year 2019 because of many positive things happening around and effecting the crypto market.

This is a quite speculative but I agree with OP up to a point. I’ve been hearing that we are going to have a bull run for months. I’m subscribed to some Youtube channels and they have all been the same, all saying they were bullish on bitcoin and interviewing or quoting experts with the same view. They were saying that in March, in April, in May...
I think the most likely scenario is that we will stay below 10k until the end of the year.

This is what I analysed logically.
Just imagine some big entities decide for whatever reason they go into Bitcoin and start buying. Just imagine China changes the legislation and the Chinese start buying again crypto like crazy. I found just 2 things that may or may not happen and don't really have to follow logic. So the smartest thing to say is "I don't know". And time will tell.

I respect your analysis and everyone does but there's only one thing that I also believe right now. I'm optimistic with the market but understands on where it is currently sitting but everything can happen within a snap. He saw that the time isn't enough for bitcoin to reach $40,000.

I agree. The surge in December 2017 was due to FOMO and newbies who think that they make a lot of money and that the rise will still go on the next couple months or year. October 2018 ICOs have failed, most of the ALTs are below their ICO price. That means, Now there are less Fool and people have started understanding the concept. no more Sheeps to slaughter ... Much harder to manipulate price (or atleast people are aware of it.
Forgot about ICO. We all know that sooner or later they will fall. And I do think that we're seeing a lot of smart investors. Meaning they won't enter altcoins market again just because of ICO. So, Where will the bull run come from?
As an example, Think like --- Lots of people were hodling when Bitcoin touched 20K.... But now repent doing so... 100% if Bitcoin price surges to even 9000$, they will dump knowing there will be again a correction.

Bull run will come, when you least expected. I'm don't get your logic of dumping at $9K specially those who bought it at $20K though because they will still suffer a lost. If I'm the one who bought it at its peaked then I will just hold on it until I see a good ROI.

I agree with you that investors are getting smarter and that they are somehow getting to know the concept of cryptocurrency market where every ICO is bound to be dump after the first exchange. People are getting smarter nowadays specially a lot of people lost profit in last year's Bull run.

Look at the global economy. A big debt crisis is approaching. Many developing countries are already at the edge of this crisis. To avoid devaluation many people will invest their many in the crypto. Even many big institutions. Maybe we are not going to see a bull run in this year but I am pretty sure that in 2019 we are going to see a new ATH.

Completely agree, and as a prove - just look at the BTC/USD chart, at previous tops, they never happened the same year, some momentum must be built for the price to continue the growth and it needs time, maybe even a few (2-3) years.
