For me this is big red light.

Premined, MN and copying code and deleting copyrights .. that is too much...

I think it will be really wise not to support something like this. Author copy/pasted another coin, deleted Copyright information, premined it, created MN to sell his premined coins...

It's very sad as i had faith in this coin when it first came out, following bitcointalk, discord, etc. Then i seen all this break out, i had a masternode but switched over to a newer POS+MN coin. I was missing masternode payments with Veco sometimes getting only one payment in 36 hours. That's not enough for me to make some coin and to support my VPS even at only $5 a month.

With this new coin, i'm currently staking with a very low amount over only $15 and within a day i already got three POS payments. I'm going to switch to a masternode once i make enough with my POS payments, but might even stay at POS.

I'm not bashing the Veco devs here as i wish them all the best but a lot of people probably already lost faith in this coin.

I know I'm newer to this coin, but started mining it for fun and doing a shared masternode.

Would be nice to hear from veco-coin about what has been said here over the few days. I'm hopping it all is just a misunderstanding, but in the crypto world that is not often the case. So some dev reaction would be great!

Have a good day everyone

Hello Community

During the last week we were asked about copyrights.
At the beginning, we wanted to point out that Cryply has nothing to do with creating a YesPower source code, which can be found at https://www.openwall.com/yespower/.

In preparation for the hard-fork, we were focused on working with the YesPower1.0 (Cryply uses YesPower0.9), the yespower.c file that is referred to is a file that in simple words, calls a second subroutine with no additional computation.

The reason we have added Cryply's copyright to yespower.c, is the line of code that corresponds to timestamp of a given block:
Code:
uint32_t time = le32dec (& input [68]);

If you build a new cryptocurrency directly based on YesPower, there is no need to post Cryply's copyright and the above line of code may be omitted. In our case, after thoroughly studying, we take into account that we should add Cryply's copyright and also leave the copyrights of the YesPower authors as we did the first time, but also remembering that Cryply's copyright would not be needed when creating new cryptocurrency directly based on the YesPower1.0.

We would also like to add that Veco is a fork from Dash Coin with YesPower1.0 algorightm. Many people doubt the power of the masternodes but we believe they are at the early stage of development and might become a very powerful economic tool in our future. We are currently working to implement Veco Evolution wich will be done in two stages. Also we are preparing to use masternodes for our future products like DEX or DAPPs...

In addition we would also like to say that the majority of our (the community) pre-mined coins (500,000) are fully transparent for the project development, also the majority of developers coins will be locked for the next 2 years. To be fully announced very soon.

Hi everyone,

First of all, we wanted to apologize for the lack of communication in recent months and thank Flub for maintaining communication on the channel. We don't want to fool anyone, but Veco is here to stay. We are currently preparing a new wallet version based on the latest Dash source and we would like to implement yespower1.0.1(probably first), including superblock, governence.

Returning to VecoDEX at the moment we do not have enough funds to provide the required service that we would like. The construction of the new DEX is very complicated and time-consuming for a small team. Current regulations of cryptocurrencies, banks, do not quite support newly developing projects.
However, there are many more interesting possibilities that we are developing and can be used in the future.
