Two options here - My guess, Satoshi decided to go with Option A.

A) Satoshi is responding to the madness so that there is no more headaches for Dorian
B) Someone hacked into it or found an exploit to write that.

Ning was never a reliable platform even in the early days of the Ning Social network.

Satoshi needs to speak up in the forums of BitcoinTalk!

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

i think it fits with his personality - don't type too much, just get the message out to protect Dorian and go back to hiding. Leave it up to the whole world to figure it out.

In the meantime, all of this is great for BTC. Satoshi hunting could become like the public's never ending fascination with UFO's....

If this post proves that the real Satoshi is indeed alive and keeping tabs on the evolution of bitcoin, does this concern anyone else that he can still do anything, at anytime, with his mountains of coins?

We have known that this has been a possibility all along, but if this post is authentic, it means that he hasn't simply "walked away" from Bitcoin and is still keeping tabs on it. It makes me a little more uncomfortable to know that one person with that kind of capital leverage is quietly observing everything......

If you'd created something that was storming across the world wouldn't you keep a little bit of interest in it?

The idea of Satoshi completely disengaging would either demonstrate that he/she/it had undergone a severe head injury or definitely was an NSA supercomputer.

Yeah but a fundamental component of human behavior is occasional irrationality.

I trust the guy's work - bitcoin, the technology, is revolutionary.
I don't trust certain fundamental/instinctive human behaviors.

pfff, like bitcointalk is the pillar of security.
