ICOs scamming people are a real concern nowadays. It is advised to use one's intuition and do a background check of the potential ICO before investing.

Even though you do a lot of research, these scams are so artful that they just fool you. There's just no escaping sometimes.

It's tough to avoid scams which are done so well now-a-days. But if you are careful enough, analyze the project, the team you can definitely do something good.

The best way to avoid fraud in ICO is to not participate in them. However, wanting to get high returns, participants want to take risks. I support such investors.

I fully agree with the author. but unfortunately even these conditions do not guarantee that the project will not be a Scam. although it significantly increases the chances of return on investment.

A good way would be to always make sure that you are researching into any coin that you are going to invest into before you put your money into it. There are so many people who are investing in coins that they know nothing about just because of the hype around the coin, that is one of the best ways to avoid the scams, don't follow the crowd so much

The ICO project is currently far more than income for a moment. Try to make the most profit possible, until the ICO deadline is over, and then make a big sale. ICO projects are indeed potentially high enough to be used for fraud, fraud which is detrimental to investors.
Especially if previously the ICO project did not require any legality.
Before investing in an ICO project must pay attention to several factors:

1. Must know detail Concept of the ICO project
A good ICO project must have a good concept.

2. See market segmentation
How much market potential is related to project segmentation and of course must have new innovations

3. Long-term orientation
One thing that can make it easier for you to judge, is to look at the real objects offered from the project

4. Team
Who are the people who work behind the project

Is there another way to avoid scam ICO projects, your input is highly expected

Thank You

one thing is we dont really know everyone in the world will be in a team, also sometimes "failure" on the project proposed can easily wipe off the crime of scam

Ways of course real . But Scammers thrive and will thrive wherever you can earn. Sometimes they are so well done that it is impossible to understand for a long time that it is a fraud. There would not be them, of course life would be better for all of us. But this is simply unrealistic. Many easier to become rich in this way

Ask yourself: does this project need blockchain or it could survive without it. Most of projects implement blockchain with no real reason, so their ICOs fail fast.

I am glad and thankful that I read these statements of yours. These can help me and other crypto users to determine a project/s is/are scam or legit. It is really important for an investor to consider these 4 factors before investing on a certain project so that he/she can avoid of being scammed.

There is a list of advisors that support scam projects only. It is easy to find it somewhere on this forum. It is the best way to avoid scam ICOs.

Look for the competitors. Most of scam teams avoid competetive analysis part in WP or show that they have no real competitors. Of course, it is a lie, so be careful.

The scammers are getting better and better at what they do so sometimes it makes it harder for us to vet which ones are real and which ones are bad. Even the most known people can be paid in sponsorship and they could be bought and hype the coin and when you see someone important telling everyone one coin is good usually makes everyone get hyped up about that coin and get into it. Only to realize that coin was a scam coin and they made the famous person tell it because he got money for it.

There are times they lie about who supports their coins and you believe it unless you really research and learn it actually is not true. Scammers get away with millions of dollars from these ICO projects so they sometimes spend thousands of coins just to get more money from you and run away with it.

Yes the first thing I check are the names of team behind the ICO project. Some people don't even bother to research the project before investing so they get easily scammed. Many good ICO projects also are real but if they didn't reach the softcap then thats the time they are scam.

The greatest way to avoid scam projects is to avoid all ICOs that tries to enter the market by themselves. I mean of course there are a few projects that need to do all thing by their own and they got real idea and thoughts how can they realize it. But the percentage of such projects is too low.
If command can't hire bounty manager at least and create new account to manage it - it is not good sign

This is a rather complicated question. Avoiding scams is not so easy. At first, the project presents itself well and makes many promises. but you never know what will happen in the end.
