According to unconfirmed data, this information can be a fake, because it is not yet confirmed whether all these stores will actually accept bitcoin as payment or it is just an advertisement for a native service through which you can make purchases in these stores. The issue of confirmation times I'm sure will limit this, because people will just not want to hang around for 10 mins or longer to complete a small purchase with bitcoin
-however, a phone app directly linked to a wallet and the payment terminal adapted to take bitcoin payments with some form of shortened confirmation could work.

I just hope they would apply it that way for a better transactions because in most store accepts that way for better and fast transactions where you won't wait for a couple of minutes for the confirmation to finish just like what we did when trading.

Confirmation time is based on the network congestion and the fees. So any apps  would just be useless , imho. However, as long as all the data is correct, (btc wallet) I think any transaction could be deem as good already. And both customers and merchants will have nothing to worry. This is a healthy good is indeed if true. We're getting closer to adoption and its going to be investing to see how everything will pans out for Germany in 2019.

Still need to use a 3rd party as a middleman. Not exactly what we were hoping. But better than nothing, 25,000 is a lot for a single country, even if it will be about small and very small merchants since I doubt a big one is going to use a 3rd party

What we need is a solution to have the ones that produce the merchandise also receive coins otherwise it would be a stupid circle of people buying bitcoins and merchant selling bitcoins as they have no way to actually spend them on loading the store.
