I'd like to know what you guys use as your main resources for learning all things crypto? Not the typical rundown like, r/Bitcoin, BitcoinTalk.org, etc. but an actual source that you go to for the majority of your information?



For example, if you had to say there was one place that you went to find all your most useful information when you were learning, or even now, what would you say that source is? If I were to say to you, I'll pay you $XXXX for your golden goose website/information funnel what would be your primetime, your most valuable source, that you would give and believe is valuable enough? And if it is forms like BitcoinTalk, etc. where specifically, not just "oh I go to BitcoinTalk" what parts of the forms do you frequent the most, and where do you think you find the most valuable information specifically, throughout your learning experience. What specific posts, videos, audios, etc. were critical in your learning experience and provided you with the most value above all else?



Also, what do you enjoy/ find yourself researching or learning about the most? Why?



I asked these questions of you guys not because I'm looking for the information, as I've been involved with crypto for a long while and have a lot of my own resources. I'm just curious what other people have found most valuable. And if you would share it, as I'd like to see if we as a community use a lot of the same resources that are most impactful to us and if I can share these new resources with other beginning users to help them and be more impactful to their learning experience.

Blockfolio exposed me to direct information about coins I hold or am interested in. It gave me an understanding of charts which I could not get from exchanges, maybe due to the website interface.

On this forum i frequent the economics board and also it's child board. I also visit project development board for information about bitcoin and cryptocurrency in extension.

When I was a beginner, I went to Coindesk's A Beginner's Guide to Blockchain Technology[1]. It was ample information for me to get a grasp on what bitcoin and blockchain is. If there are newbies asking basic questions here on Bitcointalk, that's the guide compilation I've always suggest them reading because it has good amounts of content to cover the basics.

Also, what do you enjoy/ find yourself researching or learning about the most? Why?

Err. Nothing too specific. Mostly just bitcoin; and a few altcoins here and there that I'm truly interested in(regardless if I'm invested or not). Why? They simply fascinate me a lot.

Blockgeeks.com has a lot of good things for crypto enthusiasts, newbie, and medium users. I also usually like folks on Medium, a lot of people with good knowledge and opinions. The Hackernoon is a must to read. There are some PDFs that all of us should read at least once. Coindesk & co are good only to follow the news

Andreas Antonopoulos has great videos on Youtube, he's also written a couple of books on bitcoin and ethereum. It really depends on what you want to do, for example, if you want to learn and really understand how some of these projects work, you should read the whitepaper, then look at the source code on GitHub if they have it and if you can read code.

If you just wanna trade and stuff I'd say leave this community, read some stuff on economics, finance, and history, then come back and do that and don't listen to the people shilling stuff.

If you just wanna keep up with of all the projects that exist (which is a waste of time IMO, most ICOs have been trash) then I guess go to the Altcoin board or hang out on twitter all day.

An example of something I wanted to learn was why people said bitcoin was unhackable and why you could send btc over insecure networks. I learned about address generation, bitcoin locking/unlocking scripts, and how messages are broadcasted over the network. After I understood that, I started sending transactions and looking at them on Blockchain.com's explorer to look at the details of the transactions. You learn a lot and gain a lot of confidence in the technology by doing stuff like that

I've learnt vastly more in places like this observing and participating in conversations rather than looking at static resources.

learning in this context can mean a ton of things. from the basics that someone needs to understand what to do in this world to the advanced topics such as cryptography and coding a blockchain technology related application. and for each of them there are very different resources that one can use. for example for basic stuff as it was mentioned, coindesk articles and Andreas Antonopoulos are the best in my opinion. a little more advanced and you'll need to look at bitcoin wiki, developers' documentation and read those. as for code you'll need to look at some source code of your favorite projects and try learning that way.
then we have the topic of trading which nearly has no useful source that you can learn and learn from. most of them (like the websites, youtube videos,...) are made by newbie people who have no idea what they are doing in this market.

The bitcointalk.org and the tradingview.com are both websites that I used for me to enhance my skill in trading. In our local board, there are thread who teaching us how to trade. They taught me all of the basic and I improved it by researching and studying more.

Well I never mentioned specifically learning what, because as I mentioned I'm not asking for myself for resources to learn.  I have my own information and resources, I'm asking in the context of your learning. Whatever your learning curve was,  and what specific resource such as a article/video/podcast episode, would you define as a golden gem for one of the most impactful pieces of information that you had during your learning experience. And again, the phrase "learning experience"  applies to you individually and whatever it may mean to you. If one of the most important pieces of info to you in your learning experience had to do with coding than what was it, or if it was in relation to applications built on blockchains,  or whatever context it may have been for you what would you say is a single most valuable piece of info that you've come across.  The point is sort of to gather a list of highly valuable resources pertaining to all different areas of crypto, some that may be new to me, that can be shared with other users especially beginners.

I have subscribed to several very useful channels in Telegrams about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. The entrance is paid, but these resources really helped me in the study of the entire cryptocurrency market.
