This is similar to the question: why should businesses accept bitcoin payments?
Bottom line is, any institution will benefit from crypto, and that includes the government.
I agree that embracing crypto/blockchain will help keep any organization ahead of the game. I think it’s similar to how social media has been embraced as a powerful platform of advertising and marketing. I mean, brands who don’t have social media presence are like non-existent to consumers, right? The same applies for crypto. Not adopting it is like a means to refuse progress.
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

They can use hidden payments now. Why should they give such an opportunity to other people and let them out of control?

Government should accept cryptocurrency.because it's has lots of advantages.Bitcoin is the best demanding cryptocurrency.Bitcoin can change our world economy only few seconds.it's has capability change our country Economy and  it can get rid of unemployment problem. so every country should accept crypto currency and using its opportunities. I believe, in future Crypto currency will more useful and more popular
It is their right to accept or refuse bitcoin and we cannot force them do it, this is similar to what happens in the personal level when it comes to adoption, I am sure that in the future people are going to see us and are going to claim that our earnings in bitcoin and in fiat were unfair and that we should give them back, but the truth is that anyone is free to join or not the community and like in any other business those that join the earliest are the ones that makes the most profits.

Governments are also facing a similar problem, if they join now they could obtain great profits in the future but they may be giving up some control of the economy but those that join at the end are not going to get as many benefits as those that do it earlier and that is why they do not know what to do.

We are led to believe that almost all governments are corrupt and that most officials and even leaders of the world are bought.

We saw this for instance with the US elections where rumours are doing the rounds that massive amounts of money were channelled from foreign countries to influence the outcome of the election. This money had to be laundered through shell companies via Banks and complex money laundering systems.

All of this leaves paper trails and this can later be followed and investigated to find the true origin of this money.

Now think about this, why would "corrupt" governments want to appose Bitcoin and Crypto currencies, if they can use it to hide their "corrupt" practices? Would it not make sense just to allow it and then use it to further their political aspirations?

The push back from these corrupt governments does not make any sense. Could it be that they know that Bitcoin and Crypto currencies are not "anonymous" at all and that these transactions can be traced and for this reason they are apposed to it?

Curious to know what you are thinking.  Wink
For me , there are a lot of reason why government should accept bitcoin. Bitcoin can give a lot of benefits to its investors. Some government thinks that cryptocurrencies can be a threat on some banks that they are controlling to. But they dont even think that once they accept bitcoin it will help their economy to rise. No matter what we do , if they dont want to accept bitcoin thats fine bitcoin can find a way to make people accept and adopt it. We cant force them to accept bitcoin but we need to find a way even if its impossible.

Yes, there are lot of reason that government should adapt and accept crypto currency and the most reason I see is that it truely helps every country's citizen to gain financial development that at the end it also benefits for the country's economics and at the same time it gives an at ease transaction becuase its already an electronics transaction, every government has a main rule to make crypto currency safe from scammers and hackers.

it is likely that these transactions can be traced. I hope that this is not so, but something tells me that the government will not just disregard the anonymity of the crypto currency

It is obvious that cryptocurrency have so many benefits to users over the banks and the government should accept it, but   the true is that, cryptocurrency don't benefit the government like banks. That is the reason why I think the government will never accept cryptocurrency.

One of the main reasons why the governments must accept cryptocurrency is that it has the capabilities of raising the status of the economy of a country through the creation of job opportunities and offering financial freedom to the people. With the immutable digital ledger feature of the Blockchain technology, corruption can be curbed because all transactions are recorded and cannot be altered.

You are very right that the government must be able to implement blockchain technology and start using cryptocurrency because with the cryptocurrency the country is safe and their economic conditions will be very easy to monitor and reduce financial crime such as corruption and money laundering.

The government is still checking the use of bitcoin, it is difficult to track bitcoin users because it is anonymous.
So the government must have a special team for this case, but this is not easy.
because in my opinion the government must approve the existence of the cryoto market, the purpose is to be able to improve the financial cycle in the country even though using and using virtual bitcoin money can be made a reserve money

In fact, there was information that the money received from the Russian authorities to intervene in the elections, which were held in the United States, was in Bitcoin. So any money is used for corruption, including cryptocurrency.
In general, a corrupt government can use money in any form, including cryptocurrency, for its dirty purposes and it is not necessary for them to allow circulation of cryptocurrency in their country to do so.

the government must trust and use the crypto market because here a reserve currency is needed not only for real work and the salary is very low for those who need my money if the government doesn't cooperate with the crypto market

It is not the government who opposes bitcoin that they just want to control it to avoid the bad effects on the economy. Maybe they also see the nice benefits that crypto brings, they may not limit them but with the adjustments that need to be made.

In my opinion, The Government should accept crypto currency to eliminate a jobless person, to help the economy,  for the innovation of technology in their areas. Even though Bitcoin is decentralized and that is one of the reasob why Government did want Bitcoin because they can not control it. They do not have a enough an accurate research about bitcoin, The Government have many If's to be answered. But it wi come the time that Bitcoin wi be fully accepted in lots of country.

I think the reason governments are opposing crypto is a combination of the misinformation, the unknown and the challenges they will be faced with for putting in place regulatory rules. There are many interplays at hand, perhaps being manipulative in these ways for personal gains but does it not all seem inevitable?
