There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Update:

6 September 2021: block halving (125 to 65.5 GDC GrandCoin)

Permanent online are 14 .. 18 nodes.

Block explorer http://explorer.scrypt.ovh/grandcoin/ online but hanging at 17 august (please repair!)

Any news from the Cryptopia claim portal (Grant Thornton NZL) jet?  Huh
