LOL well lets look at debt per capita where Canada is marginally better, lets look at your deficit ballooning after the Trump tax cuts for the 1%.  Now more importantly lets look at what I get for my debt as opposed to what you get lol.  I mean according to your polls the biggest thing on voters minds is health care.  I get UHC for my debt, I get safe communities with very little gun violence.  I get a country that doesn't have to deal with the mass murder of children at their schools.  I get legal weed and I get NO TRUMP hehe!

But that's not what should be compared, what you should be comparing is a debt to GDP as that's the best indicator of if the debt is actually sustainable.

And with the current economic growth, even with more deficit spending -- it seems as if it's sustainable.

I personally don't think it's possible to replicate the Canadian healthcare system in the US, as we live in a greatly different society. We have stark differences in poverty, employment, demographics, population, and so on and so forth.

Very little gun violence doesn't mean anything -- low crime rates do. Plus you're going to have to understand the vast differences from the US and Canada -- as the things I said before. I'm currently looking into this right now.

Legal weed is a fair one, I do think that the US fed government should step out of the way (and have no policy on weed) and allow the states to do as they please on weed.

LOL thats cute bro, if you think weed goes south to north you don't understand economics! The US market is almost 10X the size of the Canadian market.  We grow more weed here than we could ever smoke so guess where the extra goes!

I personally don't think the US could adopt any type of UHC because of the legalized system of bribery you guys have and defend to the death!  Until you get out of that system you're right UHC can't work in the US. First of all guys Canada is not a socialist country.  Canada is a social democracy, and there are some fundamental differences that I am sure few folks here would understand.

Second supply and demand a social democracy issue?

Last, I can assure you there hasn't been a weed shortage in Canada since the 1990's, so the entire argument is stupid anyways!  Canada is known around the world for producing some of the best strains ever!  

We are now building the infrastructure required for large scale legal production and when the American feds open the borders American companies will be behind the 8 ball and will send hundreds of millions of dollars across the border into Canadian Weed!!!!

Just another example of how much more progressive Canada is.  An entire market is emerging and it could be as large as the alcohol industry and Canada is building infrastructure that will allow us a MAJOR head start on American and European companies and billions will flow into Canada as a result of us being the first G7 country to legalize recreational canabis federally!

Then again, the government could just make radical change now and start massive programs to reduce and fight against the cycle; literally declaring a war on mother nature herself. I'd rather discuss economics or climate change, those two political issues seem more larger than a group of like 500 people.

The solution the government has integrated so far is detain, release, supervise for asylum seekers. As criminals would be weeded out during background checks. Really, allocating additional resources towards the problem isn't really even required as the ingress isn't much larger than 2000-2010. So, again, I'd rather discuss real issues instead of someone's obvious distractions.
