Do you think the bitcoin quite easy to be destroyed?  Huh
Don't be panic, mate. Bitcoin has many holders around the world. They won't let their investment to lose easily. There are many parts in crypto world also support the existence of bitcoin. So, just be confidence that bitcoin will always there to survive lasting, future contracts won't make Bitcoin to die.

It may alter the price, but I don't think it was "destroy" Bitcoin.
As long as there's a technical need for Bitcoin, there will always be value in Bitcoin.

Speculation is a normal part of some new disruptive technology. Remember the dot com bubble?

Here's a cool chart of the cycle:
I don't know where we are at on the cycle, but I am thinking somewhere along "despair". At least that's what I feel we are at.

The Bitcoin price can, unfortunately, be manipulated with, but I really believe that the speculators and speculations can't destroy it.

The thing is bitcoin holded by many different people. bitcoin already certified as the most safest coin out there, no matter what news, it can only bring down  the price but will rise up eventually. people still have faith, still buying bitcoin.

Its the safest to invest too, if people are buying btc while the price was more than $10k, I think there are more people going to buy more too. Its popularity will not be destroyed even if they fork it over and over. It may have a low price compare to what it was back January of this year but still its considerable compare to what it was last 2016. Speculations can be use to make them more money though.

it won't destroy bitcoin itself , but it could severely damage its reputation
if the market is manipulated at will and there is no semblance of the cause - effect in the price making
the adoption won't be as fast as we want it to be
hence speculation and price manipulation are as bad for bitcoin as they are for any national fiat currency

Does Bitcoin, at its fundamental core, carry intrinsic value? We don't yet have a conclusive answer. I firmly believe that, yes, it does. Others feel otherwise (though most of that camp is probably not on BCT). If you think intrinsic value can exist: then no, speculation fundamentally cannot destroy Bitcoin.

As long as there are many people using bitcoin as method of payments, nothing to worry about.

but most of icos are only promising x10 x20 without any real uses or value. Icos owner keep the fund in hoping to start the project when the price is higher.

Even after they completed their project, there is no strong value in their product that will inputs outside value into their system.

This is the most destructive.
