I'm not a fan of closed source wallets as you can never know what's going on behind the scenes but I want to give them a try since I'm not planning to hold large amounts anyway.

I've managed to find Atomicwallet, Exodus and also Coinomi which is not out yet but from the screenshots they posted, it looks very promising. I want to know your thoughts on these wallets and others If you have as well.

Coinomi is a good wallet.

Its the only wallet that I got installed on my android and their support is even very responsive to their telegram group. If you want to ask them something and you have troubles with any of their wallets, you can reach them out and expect that you will have an answer once they've seen your concern.

coinimi removed the possibility of importing your wallet with a private key .. now there is only the possibility of transferring funds! that's not good

aside from the coinomi from the three that I mentioned I never tried it just that I kept a little asset there because it can be accessed via handphone

It is the only wallet that could offer you to freely verify your transaction so that it could lesseab tge potential vulnerability of your fund. How come it can? As long as you hold your private keys then no one can access it to other device unless you got phished. Definitely jaxx have the one that got issues.

Also it's nice to use coinomi as it's supported a bitcoin fork, so you can have a 1:1 airdrop.

I never heard that they removed the importing of private key. It is what Tamilson said, as long as you have those phrases you don't have to worry about it. But if you misplaced it and someone saw those words then your chance of being hacked is quite high.

They have their main thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5032817.0 which is really just new but basing on some users this is quiet good but same as you said
its unavoidable to have that hesitance on using up a wallet.If they do able to sustain their wallets development and gained feedbacks then i will consider to try out this one.
Having lots of options will always preferable on each crypto user that do tends to hold of coin assets.

I was referring to the desktop wallet when I said Coinomi, I'm not really a big fan of their android wallet just because of the UX/UI.

As for hodler.tech, in most cases, there is lack of development when it comes to open source projects unless It's related specifically to bitcoin because it has a much bigger community and I guess that can be seen from the screenshots on the link.

I find HODLER wallet as really something worth to have.  I've seen how the team actively doing their job for the development of the project.  They have unusual idea and surely I'll be eyeing on this project since its just new and are still in the stage of infrastructure testing . The wallet is a must have specially for those who are long term big time investors.

I will say coinomi is best of all because they have more crypto currencies supported and also have private keys which means all our cryptos were safer than the online source wallet.Or else you can try coinbase if you want to store bitcoin,ethereum,litecoin,BCH or ETC and one more new coin also added into that wallet where I never faced any issues while transactions.

Coinomi is not open source. Most of us who are interested in cryptocurrency gives preference to open source software. Coinomi was part of open source software movement before but turned to closed source few years ago. Having open source software allows you to see potential vulnerability like any hidden malware that secretly benefits third party. It is still prefer open source wallet like Hodler, This gives better security and transparency.

All 3 your mentioned wallets aren't open source. I haven't heard about atomicwallet, so I can't say much about it. Exodus is not bad wallet, but it's not advised to hold big amounts of money there. I would suggest Coinomi, I'm using it for few years. But they still haven't released their program for Windows, it's only available on Android and iOS devices. If you want to use Coinomi on PC you can try to use it with emulator like Bluestacks. I think Coinomi is the best choice if you're not planning to hold large amounts of money.

I found HODLER while i was looking for a open source multiwallet. When you only use few coins you can have a separate wallet for each, but if you invest in many projects it's much easier to store them all in one wallet. HODLER is not very popular yet but for me it's the best choice because it's the only open source multiwallet. Some other wallets may look fancy like Exodus etc. but they are closed source so I can never be sure what happens to my private keys. Security is always more important for me than a fancy gui, and I haven't found any other multiwallet that can be compiled from github and the entire source code is fully open. That makes a lot of difference to anyone who knows a thing about security.

If there is wallet that needs to be popular, it should be Hodler wallet. Most wallet available are closed source and we should not afford to lose our fund for this reason. I believe that this project will be known by many users sinCE it is more preferable to choose an open source wallet (Plus point that it holds all coin I prefer). Personally, I prefer to have the private key and not entrust it to anybody.

Exodus and Coinomi, Coinomi supports a big variety of crypto currencies and will add even more soon

I've personally been very happy with Exodus, but I'm afraid that it's not fully open source.
Parts of the wallet are open source though and they're transparent about that fact.

By this logic it's okay to keep your cryptocurrency on Binance or Coinbase because they are "reputed". Closed source wallet like coinomi is no different than keeping money on exchange, you can't fully verify what happens to the private keys. You can lose funds any time and you just decide to believe in good intentions of some people you never even seen.

Exodus is a wallet that looks very nice and has a nice interface but I checked that link you provided and it says there: "If open source is a major source of impact for your choice in software, Exodus is not for you. " For me it means, "if you intend to use cryptocurrency, don't use this wallet".  Maybe it's good for people who just started getting interested in cryptocurrency and want a nice looking app... but if you own more crypto you don't care about flashy looks, you just want to be able to 100% verify every aspect of security of your coins. People already learned to understand why you should never keep funds on an exchange, it's about time to start feeling the same about keeping funds on a closed source wallet.
