You can forget about that, because governments will hang onto their own fiat currencies for the mere fact that they can control all aspects of it and also for the sentimental side of having a strong tradition and history with that currency. No , it can not.

There is literally not enough coins for a global currency.
(Not even with the ridiculous 8 decimal point division to smaller increments.)

If it survives the ever increasing electricity costs, then it's price will continue to grow and no one will be able to afford it but the ultra rich,
therefore at best it will have a limited elite market only.

Bitcoin Scarcity insures it is only for the rich, and therefore will never be universally used.

yes, that in my opinion can be a factor why cryptocurrency is worthy to continue its development, there are still good things that can be done with the use of cryptocurrency. donations for disadvantaged people, unemployed and refugees

Well for me there is a big possibilities that bitcoin can be a universal currency, maybe it was not yet implemented now but I think in the future it will be implemented as you can see many country now are using bitcoin as a payment in their country and many country now are adopting bitcoin to be another currency so let us wait until it was implemented all over the world.

Bitcoin can't be the universal currency of the world, at least in the nearest future. The BTC usability around the world is still really limited, compared to fiat usability. In addition, most governments worldwide keep supporting their local fiat currencies, and not supporting any cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin of course.
Maybe after some decades, when people start using BTC a lot more, they will force governments and banks to start support crypto.

Replace fiat is not really good thing to happen. If bitcoin and fiat can adopted together will be very good, because out there some people still don't have access to bitcoin's technology.

Bitcoin will certainly achieve it, but we don't have to rush to reach that point, slowly but surely people will accept Bitcoin especially if we advise them to accept transactions using Bitcoin. University is the right place to be a pioneer for this, I mean not just accepting donations, it can be used in campus like paying tuition fees for example.
