It doesn't matter if an "incredible project" as you put it is developed. ICO volume is increasing because it's an easy way to scam idiots for their money.
We already have thousands of cryptocurrencies we don't need, do not have a working product, don't solve an issue, and don't have a real world use. Almost all ICOs either join that group of useless coins with a team that have no idea what they are doing, or they are outright scams with no intention of ever doing anything beyond stealing idiots' money. You only need to go to the Scam Accusations board to see just how many ICOs take the money and run.
The only thing that will stop hundreds of new ICOs being launched is when idiots stop sending their money to these scammers. Unfortunately, there is a large supply of idiots in crypto.

I think it will take a huge crash on the altcoin market before that happens. After that most of the ICOs will be eradicated and most of the investors will lose most of their money. Until that moment, the promise of easy money will be too great to resist. I don't know how such a crash hasn't already happened but I think it is a real possibility.

I think ico trend will continue for a couple more years from now and after that regulations will be implemented and only high quality projects will be allowed to raise funds, so the market will become better as we will have only legit icos and not dozens of icos everyday.

Ah that's right, mate! Maybe Government must have an ICO Analysis to rate any a new ICO. I think so the market will become better caused no one will dump using their raised fund (like an ETH price) |

Take it and dont mind too much on that matter because as long these projects or ICO wont be regulated then expect it would really flood out into the market adding up thousands of coins which it doesnt really have much usage. I would say 10 coins would be enough with have specific usage or functions i dont even need 100 coins with replicate ideas or whatsoever because those would be still considered as trash. |

Blockchain 2.0 is starting now. New projects will launch and become valuable, some public some private, all leveraging blockchain. There are ~45,000 publicly traded stocks which doesn't include all the private companies, so I'd expect somewhere in that range *at least*.

I think over time, many projects will disappear losing their value to the crypto industry. There will remain projects that bring technological benefits and have won recognition in the crypto industry.

Cryptos are a new emerging market sector and ICOs are the easiest way to raise money for anything via the crypto platforms. It will continue until there is a massive bubble like dot coms in crypto sector.

I dont think that there could ever be a CAP on ICO. Its similar like new companies emerging in market, they are just utilizing ICO as in means to generate the funds required for there development and other factors.
Its possible to have thousands of cryptocurrencies and there are already over a thousand crypto currencies in market. but eventually, it does not matter, the coins which are really worth with real development behind it will only survive.

Until there will be no any developer that interested in created their own ico and this trend will never end. Remember this is the easy for them all to get money from the investors. i thought that news doesn't have a lot of accuracy remember there was a lot of scam icos and they have counted it, it needs more research to determine which is the real ico. |

ICOs are not helpful anymore, It is like to take people's money by giving some shit! I don't know why people invest in every ICOs, I really couldn't find a clue! How many ICOs launched in a year, people invest in most of the ICOs! Some ICOs scammed them and some ICOs steal their money gently! Like They make a tagline that The world's first, world's best AI technology, or fishing technology or marketplace! Every ICOs brings the world's first things. People invest there to make the Vision success, But after getting success, they listed coins on exchanges and forget about those world's first things! We have more than 2500 Crypto coins already, we don't need more.

Maybe yes, But for my own opinion ICO will still the same and still growing every single day, Even though we are experiencing a bear market. I see to it that cryptocurrencies is bigger than what we are expecting. The money of all circulating will doubled or more than the price of whole galaxy. if We have 80 Trillion Circulating money around the world then expect it to grow more in the next few years with the pave of cryptocurrencies-- it's going mainstream adoption.

No new project is needed for the ico to emerge, as it is emerging in its own. The thing needed most is the security improvement and the exchange to be easy and a proper look upon the scammer projects.

I do not think, that this is going to end. ICOs are a new fundraising method, that would be used for a long time. We just need to be more selective with projects, that we are taking part in. When investors won't participate in trash projects, we will not have so many ICOs and tokens in the crypto space.

The competition will weed out the bad projects. I think over time this trend will eventually fade out and we will only see the projects with real life usages. The market will be better then.

I guess every company is launching their own company, so we would end up thousands of tokens for every industry, there are advantages and disadvantages to this and I don't know how it's going to end because these companies have found something very profitable and open source they can create as their own. |

it will only happen if investors stopped investing in ICO and prefer to buy coins in the market, which is happening slowly now, I read some projects are paused because of failure to reach the softcap and there are so many of them, I hope the signature I'm in will succeed and do not be like the other failed ICO.

No, I see big downtrend in ICO sphere. Most of them didnt collect even soft-cap to start their projects. Yes, that is really hard, especially when investors are loosing their money also in big cryptocurrencies like Ethereum. |

for this year's increase in volume to the existing ICO just give an awful lot of problems, because it only raises a strange project in my opinion. even some of the results from the ICO just be small coins have no value means. If this increase in ICO continues then many expected the ICO will appear the better and have the function to. This will certainly make the result could compete with what was there before.

Good question... I strongly think its high time we crypto enthusiasts call for complete regulation of the crypto community. There should be set standards/benchmark for all intending projects. There should be stringent conditions set aside to curb the amount of half baked projects practically littering the industry. Only by fulfilling these conditions will any project be allowed to commence development. This will greatly limit unseriousness in the industry and ensure only decent projects get to use the Blockchain Technology.

no doubt ICO's are doubled from last year and more will come, people who want to launch their ICO are thinking it is the only quick way to get rich & that is right, because the hype of BTC from last year make them think about it & so the investors are also thinking crypto is the only way to get rich quick without doing any hard work, but soon their dreams will fade away once they came to know they invested in useless projects without researching about the project, the product they are offering & the team too. ICO is just on hype now & will be diminished with time as soon as investors realize the reality of crypto.

There will be many more project like that will release on the future or in the next year. They can create their project for helps people's life, but the problem is how they can give the best things to every people if they do not continue to finish their project because right now, many ico is delayed their project. Besides that, with the market now, I don't think that they can survive in a long time because they need more investor to invest in the project so they can reach success. |

Hopefully so but with the way the industry is set up now, there is not going to be any kind of cap on the icos. We are going to need regulations on the coins because honestly this is getting out of hand. We do not need thousands of coins in the market and they are affecting the prices of the other coins negatively. There needs to be a stop to all of the new coins that are coming into the market
