Be careful of dudes impersonating youtube personalities. Ran into a guy posing as Doug Polk from "Doug Polk Crypto" on Telegram. Hope u do your due diligence & verification before transacting  Wink
Those guys are everywhere on telegram group chats. If you need some youtuber to promote your project you should contact them yourself through their official accounts. Fake accounts and bot accounts often ruin the funds of naive project owners. I remember one project's telegram chat where a certain account claiming to be a youtube personality came in and asked for the admin to PM them. But the real youtuber of that name had already done a video on the project long back - showing how illiterate and idiotic these scammers are.

Personally, I don't really buy into this so-called influencer marketing. Then again, I just don't personally buy into social media.
yes this is not the proper way on starting an ICO project. on those social media. But, that influencer marketing could be a good strategy to encourage possible prospects in private token sale. This may help to reach directly the softcap for the project to start.

This influencer marketing is related to PR officer of the certain project.

There are some people in youtube, they show their faces upon reviewing, you can't just be sure if they can really influence people to invest in your project. And they are risking their names as well so you better prepare a good pitch for it.

What you can do is contact the people who do own facebook groups which is related to crypto, they are likely to respond than those who risks their names and faces. If you turned out to be scam, its their only facebook group that will be ruin. Worth a try probably. I wonder how much you'd pay.
This! You can try to talk active fb pages (in active I mean pages where people are very active) and talk them about pinning your post or changing cover with your company's logo and etc. Also another way is to contact news publisher websites like cointelegraph, ccn and others to publish article about the company you are going to promote, I think this is the beast deal here. P.S they also mention that article was paid.

Well you should not only hire one person for this and this should be a team. This will help your blockchain services to be acknowledge among prospect contributors and investors of your company. I bet a little campaing here in the forum would do also and you can hire those good bounty managers for it to let the users here in the forum know about your company. Social media are good instrument for this and you can have it run for the bounty hunters.

I suggest to look for those top bounty managers for this project. For sure there will be some return of investment. This is how a business should be taking risk and then earn or lose. But, here in the forum you can gain a lot with bounty hunters. I do one of them and we are good at it spreading the news about your company. Just select good bounty hunters too and not that spammy and shit poster one.

The state of influencers in this space is an absolute joke, people look up to people who manipulate and deceit but yet these "influencers" don't even understand the mechanics of the system they represent? What type of role model is that?

Vitalik is a great influencer, end of. There should be more like him but the harsh reality is who is there past him? Dan Larnier for his ability to ignite and execute ideas sure, for his ability to maintain them certainly not. Then we start climbing down the ladder to people like Satoshi Lee, who is completely out of professional context majority of the time but he/s a technical advocate which is a bonus, but he just can't act in a professional manner (remember his twitter liquidation stunt) but let's not forget his ability to execute is quite poor (LightPay fiasco). Don't get me wrong there was some great accomplishments at his hand, like obtaining of equity of a bank as apart of the Litecoin Foundation and the ability for LTC to implement atomic swaps. Then we start see the true colours of the space as we decent deeper, John Mac Afee and Roger Ver for example I do not need to explain myself for these two enthusiasts and there is vast amount others that follow their same ideologies with their twitter follower count ascending into the high heavens.

There is a large majority of people i'm forgetting to mention as some of them i'm unaware to, why you may ask is this so? It's because i'm busy trying to create my own legacy than rather gloat in others. I only know the above from my initial research into blockchain when I was a trader, I no longer follow that path. We need more people in this space with the technical knowledge as influencers and not people who are just financially healthy and got a wallet full of BTC, but the underlying problem is that the average crypto-currency user isn't comprehending the technical/operational aspect to blockchain but only the potential profit margins. I always say that money distorts logic.

I think any sensible influencer would say "no" to any kind of ICO marketing and endorsement. at the end of the day, you'll get the random people and bounty hunters who increased their followers using fake methods and always chasing money.

real influencers don't take the risk to endorse an ICO. because there is always a high chance that the ico will fail and if that happens. then it would be a big effect to that influencer's image also.
