I have barely been on here the last few months as i have had so much on in real life that i literally haven't had a lot of time to be on here.

I completely missed the 'Newbie/Junior member/1 merit' implementation, but i must say that in the past few days i have browsed i can see its definitely paid dividends with a much improved and organic posting behaviour on here as opposed to a few months back when the quality was pretty drastic to be honest.

Its not easy trying to keep everyone happy, but bravo to the decision makers for making a good call. This is definitely a step in the right direction in the War on Spamerism

Might not be your intention; but a topic like this just freaks of fishing for merits. Much like the 100 that preceded it.

A good practice going forward if you truly just want to Express your sentiments would be to post this within the thread about the change as opposed to cluttering up the board with a redundant thread.

The time has actually passed when a post about merit,or about the new merit system(commending theymos for a job well done ),or about newbies claiming they love(ironically)the new merit system(in the hope of getting that elusive one) actually did strike a chord and probably got merited

Now it's simply just read,ignored or worse still the preceding comments gets merited

I think when you come back after long break you should concentrate on reading more to understand what going on.
Anyways , I think The new rule (1 Merit for Jr. Member) is already reducing spam might be interest for you.

Why this happened so as to be better.
If someone has to work outside of making money not expecting 100% in the bounty project everything will be even better,
Why:
Does someone implement a post based on the contents of the original brain? not chasing post projects that have been determined?
This will all continue to improve even further with the implementation of system 1 (Merit) for Jr., Member.
The point:
if you share the reality of life in the next year, maybe this Meta Forum will be Gold.
don't be surprised later Meta will be Gold.

Starting a new thread in Meta for just posting your observations about the improvement of post quality is not necessary (After you barely been on the forum last few months)

Imagine what would happen if all the users come up with their own threads in Meta to share their experience about what happened when they were not active for a few months. So next time it is better to read the old threads regarding those changes which already discussed several times. If you want to share the view of your side better to reply in the original thread instead of creating a separate thread.

Yes, in a few months there have been some changes that could have flied past you, but the condemnation of creation useless threads and spaming for the sake of merit shouldn`t be news to you since this rule has been valid for a long time already.

Yeah you sure are correct it's impossible to keep everyone happy
and the new system is a good one in curtailing spam and spammers

And just like others have said
I think you also should contribute your own quota to that quest by abstaining from posting redundant feedback that've been posted/discussed over and over again
That way you'll also be helping us end spam

If truly you have read other topic on thanking the administrator for implementing the new rule towards newbies ranking up then you need no crystal ball to review to you what the intention of this topic was

Quick recap, The Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements"  topic was posted on the 17th of September and OP before starting this topic has replied to other topic on forum and also started previous topics  between September - October so what else if not (merit) do you think user intention was when creating topic & ending with this
