NEED HELP! got scammed, can i get IP adress somehow?

hello everybody, i just got scamed by somebody (of course its my own mistake) and want to know is there any chance to find out the bitcoin receivers IP adress?? Long story short: somebody pretended my already existing friend on Facebook messenger and i transfered him bitcoin. Can somebody help me to find out something? All i have is receivers bitcoin adress and his fake messenger account name. Maybe its possible to get Ip adress of this shit, who created email or something... thanks in advance for any help.

I hate to be the barer of bad news, but unless the perp used an address that can be linked to an online wallet or exchange, you can't get the ip or the email of the receiver. Even if it can be linked to an online wallet or exchange, you'll probably need a court order for this wallet/exchange to fork over the user's details, and even if you get those details they could be fake (fake id, one minute mail, proxy or vpn,...).

Bitcoin is irreversible and pseudo-anonymous. Pseudo-anonymous means that you can follow the outputs when they're being spent and see which address they funded next, but you can't couple a name, email, ip, homeaddress to the address that's being funded (unless, once again, it was an online wallet or exchange's wallet). There are ways to break the link between addresses so it becomes impossible to follow the unspent outputs, if your thief knows anything about bitcoin, he'll probably use a way to break the link between the address he used to scam your friend, and the address he uses to store his ill gotten gains.

Unless the thief is incompetent, you should consider those funds to be gone

but for example, if the receiver gave me his online wallet adress and just thinking, that nobody will try to search for him, then i think i still have some chance to find it out..? Police already know and strated investigation.

still hoping he not so competent, and asking for your help. If he is just a bitcoin beginner, and there is still chance to catch this shit, where should i start? If i will not do anything, so it means i lost money 100%, but hoping he left some footprints somewhere... who can help me? thank you very much

There is no way for you to get the IP address of the scammer. Facebook is using the XMPP protocol which does not create a direct connection between the chat participants.

However, if you could seduce him into sending you an email, then you would have his IP address which you could hand over to the law enforcement agency.
Another option to get the IP address would be to setup a webserver (which logs everything) and send him a link. If he clicks on it, you'll have his IP address.

Those are the 2 easiest methods to get his IP address. If those aren't an option, you are mostly out of luck.

Actually, in this case, it would be best to try play on the greed card option - in a way to send scamer new message from other FB profile and if he/she bite the hook then try to get some more info about them.

Story that you have problem with your wallet and need some help to recover few BTC could allure a thief from his hole...

I am sorry to say but I dont think there is much you can do. How big is the amount you got scammed for?
I am asking because even if you manage to get hold of the IP address and if you search for the address you will only get the provider who is behind the address and not the actual person-location. From there on you would need to involve the police to open an investigation. If the amount is small it is not worth the time and resources or depending on the laws in your country the police might not even act on it if the amount is below the point considered to be a criminal offence.

Not necessarily.

While the TOR traffic won't be investigated in such a less-severe-crime, an IP address from the VPN provider would be a good first step.

The law enforcement agencies could easily contact the VPN provider to get the real IP address (depending on the location of course).
The majority of VPN provider (even those who claim to not store logs) do store logs. They have to store logs to not be legally liable for the customers actions.
