I am curios, why forum did not send the reason of ban and reason of post deletion to the user. Sending the reason , in the end will help the forum only.

My Second concern is regarding the banned user.
Forum itself does not give information whether user is banned or not. Even if somebody find it from "https://bpip.org/" but still it remain mystery why user was banned?

If somebody think why I need to understand the reason of ban because user can be banned for spreading "malware and virus" too. If I know that user is banned for this reason , it will make me cautious that I should not open any link given from that user in any post or in PM.
It is also possible that these user in some post instead of posting the direct malware links, might posted the links of articles that in turn is spreading/containing the link of malware. I checked that forum do not remove all the post of that banned user even forum removes them it is still possible that they might exist in someone quotes.

Don't you think that it necessity for us to know if user is banned and reason for its ban in the user profile?

I think this is going to stretch moderators really far though and mean they’re much less productive,
A lot of the time the mods do go through and delete the information from quotes.

If they didn’t delete the information from quotes there would be a huge issue as lots of people must access this forum using trackpads on laptops and touchscreens on mobile devices so accidental link pressing is almost certain a lot of the time (I made a thread about managing to accidentally logout of my bitcointalk account three times while using my laptop in the same week)! Apparently theymos doesn’t have an issue with me though in response to that so that’s good Grin.

If I know that user is banned for this reason , it will make me cautious that I should not open any link given from that user in any post or in PM.
Can banned user send PM? I think they can't. If you are talking about PM from previous, in that case, you might be a victim. Remaining a such caution or not remaining a such caution rreflect the same meaning. You can't know the actual output of that link as long as you are not clicking the link. So, better, I will skip anyone who sends irrelevant link.

And suspicious link will definitely be removed from his/her post if the user is banned.

I am curios, why forum did not send the reason of post deletion to the user.
On this issue i believe the message sent is quite enough to pass the message "A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted." I guess any sensible individual after receiving this message needs to cross check the deleted reply to avoid such mistakes in future. The moderators are mostly seen as volunteers so lets not over work them (by asking for a specific reason each time a post is deleted) as there's is 90% chance they're right when a post is been deleted.

I don't know why forum haven't include reason of ban. Because all users aren't banning for same reason. Recently we can see lots of post about ban and they want to know why they banned. I believe every users have right to know why forum ban him. So this will reduce also question why I got ban. I think admin should include this since lot of people's getting ban lately.

I had created a thread on this and got some discussion which were true in some way but not logical.

Most of the users get banned for plagiarism. But there are some other reasons too.
Now, if users get the message that s/he has been banned for plagiarism (for example), again they will post in meta in the hope for having back their account. The question from them will be-
1. What is plagiarism? I don't know.
2. I did never copied anyone. Why am I banned?

If the reason is visible to banned user, still they will post and spam in meta.
No output, situation will be same while moderator have to complete some extra works. So, I don't personally think it is needed.

Ban reasons are given but usually just for a temp ban. There's one button to 'IP and permaban' someone and it's much easier to click that than manually give all these idiots permabans the long way with a customisable reason and when you've got to ban 20 people at once it would become incredibly time consuming and tedious to do so. Theymos should probably change the permaban message to something like You have been permabanned. Some common reasons include spreading malware and plagiarising content, but please see the full rules here (or something like that). That way people can work out what they were banned for. I've also previously requested new buttons for certain bans. For example: So there's one button that when you click it gives a user a seven day ban for unsubstantial posts, and another that permabans them and gives them the reason as copy and pasting and so on. This would be much more efficient for everyone.

I've also requested that users who are permabanned that information is publicly displayed under their username or something, but not sure whether we should include what exactly for in that. It seems like theymos is likely even against showing which users are banned publicly (not sure why, especially when people are reporting dozens of users a day that are already permabanned and it's time-wasting for both users and staff to have to report and handle these).

Users banned for violating the forum rules, either failed to read through the list of rules and guidelines or deliberately chose to ignore it.
If it's the former, then they would probably still fail to read the reason and still make threads. And if it's the latter they don't deserve an explanation and should figure it out themselves.

The appeal posts also exposes their alt accounts and it can be traced to ensure it gets banned once it ventures out of meta.

Then please add in your already to do list for Theymos, might be we again get lucky in the same way the "1 merit" is introduced to become Jr. Member.
Look like instead of Normal users, Mods are suffering more.

Can banned user send PM? I think they can't. If you are talking about PM from previous, in that case, you might be a victim.
That is not necessary if I received link in PM , I already become victim.  Luckily my wallet is not in my laptop from which I browse the internet, so even opening that link I still not get affected.

And suspicious link will definitely be removed from his/her post if the user is banned.

Directly posted links will be removed. What about link to external website and articles that might be promoting malware in their website.
People sometime let their guard down if they are dealing with some good looking  website.

Don't you think that it necessity for us to know if user is banned and reason for its ban in the user profile?

Yes. Permabanned users should be shown publicly in my opinion, but I'm not sure whether the reason should be stated. It's become very annoying that some people are reporting users who have already been banned and this both a waste of time for them and the staff who have to handle them. If permabans were already shown then this would stop and save everyone's time.

If I know that user is banned for this reason , it will make me cautious that I should not open any link given from that user in any post or in PM.
Can banned user send PM?

No. That would kind of defeat the purpose of a ban, and they'd likely just abuse the message function if they were still allowed to PM. The only exception I could think of allowing would be to PM staff, but I really don't want to be spammed with dozens of PMs a day from irate users who ant answers that can already be found (or things could be changed so they're given them).

Then please add in your already to do list for Theymos, might be we again get lucky in the same way the "1 merit" is introduced to become Jr. Member.

I already did:

• A publicly displayed 'banned' rank under a person's username for permabanned accounts (people are wasting both theirs and staffs time reporting already banned users and bots).

But theymos put it in the "No. Or not yet" category:

No. Or not yet. Or the idea would need to be significantly modified.

Though he said the same about the merit requirement for Juniors and that happened so hopefully he his mind can be changed.
