Hi,

Are all centralised exchanges obliged to inform the account holder by email that the coin is delisting or being converted/upgraded to a newer version by a certain deadline?

Is there like a website that shows which coins at what exchanges are gonna be delisted or swapped to a newer version? Website is needed because it simply shows what's going on so bag holders can take action quickly otherwise their coins will be lost after the deadline without the bag holders even realising it. This sucks for long term bag holders and Hodlers who just like to invest 1 day forget about it for the next 5-10 years or so without even worrying or checking their coins daily etc.

Why don't some centralised exchanges do the swap automatically? I thought centralised exchanges (middle-men) supposed to do all the hard work for us.

What about coins on hardware or offline wallets? There's no chance of any notifications at all? Will hardware wallets support transitions/upgrades to a newer coin automatically?

Finally what about decentralised exchanges? Can the same questions above apply to them?

Centralized exchange has a protocol or sop that need to do what is best to their clients users. Now for what they did which is the centralized exchange was they announce it to their platform if ever there is a coin/altcoins for that week are going to be delete or delisting to the platform, even in decentralized they do the same thing methods to inform their traders who have that coins are oblige to sell it before it happen to be gone in the exchange.

You mean they announce it on their websites only? Problem with this is a long term Hodler does not log onto websites. All exchanges should send a email notification in advance at least.
