I exchanged btc to eth yesterday through their 'fully automated exchanger', but - surprise, surprise - no ethereum has arrived yet.

There is a 'program' being heavily advertised on a few of the other sites I use:

All of you heard about cryptocurrency Bitcoin and Ethereum . I want to show you a new way to achieve this profit!

1) First of all you need Bitcoin and Ethereum  wallets. I prefer to use http://blockchain.com wallet but you can use all wallets that you like.

2) You need to have at least 50$ Bitcoin ( ~ 0.0077 BTC ) at your wallet

3) Then you need to exchange 0.0077 BTC to Ethereum using exchanger https://changebtc.bid/   on course  0.0077 BTC - 0.3045 ETH

4) Now you exchange Ethereum to Bitcoin using exchangers  https://en.changelly.com/  or https://www.alfacashier.com/  on course 0.3045 ETH - 0.0095 BTC

So if ChangeBtc.bid is a scam, I have to assume the other ones are too. I'll update this if my coins do arrive.

Alright. This changebtc is hella fishy!!! It's basically unknown, newly registered (last year december) and isn't peer reviewed. Hell, there's hardly any reviews about them. The website is pretty much meh, too simple and you can only exchange a few cryptos which are bch, eth and btc. Can't find a reason why would I use this

And if you wanna trade to profit, much better if you'll use an exchange like binance where you can properly monitor the price, the ones you listed are best for quick conversions in case you need a certain cryptocurrency

I also don't understand this conclusion

Lastly just a heads up, theres some fishy stuff going on in changelly, be cautious. Oh and have you ever tried shapeshift?

Im even confused with that conclusion which if he do tried out a fast conversion site to be a scam he generalized that all would be just the same. lol

Shapeshift is already needed some KYC before you can use them out so its up to our choice if we proceed or not.I tried changelly inspite on having lots of issues but small conversion do works fine on me.

I exchanged btc to eth yesterday through their 'fully automated exchanger', but - surprise, surprise - no bitcoin has arrived yet.

I have difficulty understanding, if you did exchange from BTC to ETH, then you should check in your ETH wallet, if you have already received your ETH or not.

I'll update this if my coins do arrive.

see the comparison:

ChangeBTC.bit

too good to be true

https://en.changelly.com

they do not seem to be scam

https://www.alfacashier.com

they do not seem to be scam

Thanks for the heads up man! Just saw their blog post, although the loyalty member is nice, I don't really think its worth giving your identity for, and it isn't as convenient as before which is a huge turn off for me. Also I'm traumatized to other sites which service turned poor after implementing mandatory kyc hence I wouldn't recommend them, gonna be seeing how it goes.

Pretty sure there's still plenty of alternatives out there which doesn't require you a KYC unless you're planning to exchange a huge amount of money, but i would prolly just do my quick conversions on binance too.

Oh and alfacashier.com really does seem legit!, also doesn't seem to have a mandatory kyc, tho I'm guessing they might ask you if you get flagged.
Changelly and changenow have some fishy activity but I guess its still okay for small conversions huh? Well, I also tried a few small trades (.01 -.02btc) on hitbtc when their issues are on peak, suprisingly had a smooth one.

I wouldn't recommend anyone to keep trying that exchange, because they are known to randomly trap people in. Too bad people are more or less forced to use these exchanges due to Shapeshift's policy change.

The only alternative for people avoiding KYC/AML policies is to use unregulated services from which they don't know how long they will continue to operate. I don't think authorities will endlessly allow them to freely operate.

Authorities lack manpower, and once they consider it's worthy enough to upgrade and go after exchanges as Yobit and HitBTC, you can be sure that people will end up losing their funds in the worst case scenario.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

Alfacashier from memory is probably not a scam, and changelly even though it's extremely shady and has withheld some funds of customers previously, definitely isn't owned by the same people that deveoped ChangeBTC.bit for sure.

Whoever advertising the site is trying to lure you into using their site, promising a profit on two completely unrelated sites. Of course, when you deposit, you won't receive anything back.

Classic confidence trick and unfortunately, I doubt you'll find any success in trying to track down who exactly stole your coins. In the future, make sure you are careful with these exchangers. Always research before you deposit money and make sure you ask around if you're unsure.
