I am starting this thread for I cant see any post regarding with default smerits if there is any. Please delete thread if this post is not necessary.

I just want to ask question on those users who were defaulted their account with merits if they were also defaulted with smerits? Thank you in advance for the response.

Yes. Every ranked users got some defualt sMerits.
as far as I can remember, the following was distributed-
Member- 1 sMerit
Full Member- 8 sMerits
Sr Member- 20 sMerits
Hero Member- 40 sMerits
Legendary Members- 100 sMerits

The short answer is Yes. This is what most people around here refer to as the AirDrop or something like that. It's been awhile since I've read through the thread myself, but if I remember right there was either a set amount (as the user above mentioned) or it had something to do with recent activity, or both? I'd have to read through it again.

I suggest starting at the beginning and reading as much as you can handle. Almost all of your questions are guaranteed to be answered within the first couple pages.

From now on, it might be better to post questions like this in the Beginner's and Help board or at least do a pretty extensive pass through the Search function of the forum.

It’s been mentioned a few times. Check out this post: re: who can award Merits. The formula in the code tells you how the default sMerits were quantified, based on rank and activity at the time. The amount therefore varied per account, and is not known publicly on an individual 1-to-1 basis.

According to the formula, the best case scenario (máx. Airdropped sMerit) would be:
Legendary :  1000 * 0,4= 400 sMerits
Hero Member:  500 * 0,35= 175 sMerits
Sr. Member:  250 * 0,25= 62 sMerits
Full Member:  100 * 0,2= 20 sMerits
Member:  10 * 0,1= 1 sMerit

I wasn't aware of that topic. The original thread posted by Theymos wouldn't exactly classify as a useless megathread. There was a lot of real questions and discussion occurring within that thread for dozens of pages. I lost track after awhile, but that's where I learned almost everything I know about the merit system. Figured it's not a bad place to start and potentially answer future questions that they may have.

Plus I was somewhat correct, about it not being fixed and having something to do with your activity; that's got to count for something.

Alright, Many thanks guys for the reply. I was only curios on some defaulted accounts where some users were not giving their smerits and just hoarding it instead. I ask this because I have read a post to where it says that theymos had consider decaying smerits if it is not given. So, it would be good for it to happen because a lot of good post and did not get rewarded with merits. Though most of it were on the Super Mega Threads which getting merit is unlikely to happen but still deserves to get a merit.
