Satoshi Labs have announced a 23% price cut on the original Trezor One... dropping €20 from the price. This brings the price down to €69+shipping. (€15 DHL express in Europe, €10 to selected countries via UPS).

Seems like they're also porting the new Trezor Core platform from the "T" over to the One... which should mean new features, coins and tokens!

Nice move from Trezor for celebrating 5 years of company and good opportunity for anyone who wants to try Trezor hardware wallet. I just check the price and in total for EU is 83.49 EUR, it is 69 EUR+14.49 EUR VAT with option of free shipping (5 days to 6 weeks delivery).

Ledger Nano S is in total 100 EUR now, so Trezor One is cheaper option in this moment - but Ledger still have great advantage in number of supported coins, at least for now.

Have you checked the list of supported coins lately? Satoshilabs hasn't been sleeping! While the Trezor One still supports a handful less coins than the Ledger Nano S the difference isn't as large as it used to be: https://trezor.io/coins/

Wonder if Monero will be supported on the model One. Seems like they are working on it, of course if this is not a private project, link > https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@dnaleor/trezoro-trezor-for-monero-the-basics

Seems like that was a 3rd party project... and has not been worked on for quite a while (last commit to github was in Oct 2016!!?! Shocked)

I doubt very much that it is coming anytime soon Tongue

Wonder why,as Monero is in the top 10 coins based on Market Capitalization, it's more than logical to be supported but...
Anyway I can't wait to put my hands on the Trezor. It's exiting Smiley

They won't support Monero on the TREZOR One due to hardware limitations (source). One of their employees wrote under their tweet that Monero and some other coins are coming to the TREZOR model T in the next software update. As far as I remember, they are waiting for the Monero team to merge their code.

Feel free to ask me any questions if you want to know something about the model T. I have had it since the pre-order.

I'm getting my first Trezor in a week (only just shipped), and will be one of those who skipped the original and went right to Trezor T. Actually, seeing all the coins I own listed as to be soon supported helped make my decision (Monero especially), but I'll probably only want to use it to store Bitcoin until I'm a bit more familiar and confident.

I'll definitely be having questions with the T - I'm reading in some (partial) reviews that it doesn't need a connection to device but am seeing conflicting that of course the USB-C cable is still needed. Will find out myself when it arrives of course, but do you have a thread just for T?

TREZOR web interface allows you to remember the wallet so that you can easily see your accounts even if your device is not connected. However, sending transactions obviously requires you to connect your device using the included USB-C cable. TREZOR does not support any kind of wireless communication for safety reasons.

You can ask me your questions either in the official TREZOR thread or here. Both of these threads are on my watchlist so I will be able to reply to you as soon as I am online.

Ah, thank you for that clarification. This was what I had assumed, but good to have it confirmed. And thanks for those links, am expecting the device to arrive any time this week. Won't rush into testing it but will probably spend a lot of time on it and nice to know where to ask.

Pretty excited but don't want to be that kind of fan... But it will be a cherry popped!

It isn't so much that you need the cable for communication... it's required for POWER! The device does not have an inbuilt battery Tongue

Theoretically, I think you could even set one up using a USB powerbank if you really wanted to ensure that there was zero communication happening. (Don't quote me on that, as I don't own the T, only the Trezor ONE which requires the use of the computer to setup pins/seeds etc)

Connection to a PC is still needed for the initial setup because the firmware is downloaded directly from the TREZOR servers. After that the device informs users that going to trezor.io/start is necessary. TREZOR T does not send any data over the USB cable if the user didn't enter the PIN. Passphrase can be entered right after you open your wallet (either web one or Electrum).

I'm playing with the Trezor password manager, but how can I be sure that my passwords are save with trezor? I see trezor needs permission to access my files in OneDrive,it is there where creates a database I know, but how save this is? Maybe I shall move my question to their thread.

Trezor uses your private key to encrypt passwords and labels which you save in the password manager. Since Trezor One doesn't have much built-in storage (SD Card support for TREZOR T is still not there so the same applies to it) it uses either Dropbox or Google Drive to store its data. Everything is safe as long as your private key is not exposed.

I usually browse TREZOR thread and answer this kind of questions. Next time make your post there if you want to get a faster response.
