Gambling is as old as man. Really, many people have lost a fortune and still more have made a fortune from gambling. It keeps revolving.  Now we got Blockchain coming into the lucky win game. There’s an opportunity for gambling on Blockchain, everyone in crypto is a risk taker. And wouldn’t mind placing a bet when the odds are good. I think Orbit would do well.

The public immutable nature of blockchain sort of lives to make it work for gambling it makes the whole provability of the entire ordeal much more visible to everyone and really lets the odds be right out there and open this is something i've said forever is why gambling will all move to blockchain eventually

Blockchain will really going to change and bring a lot of things. I'm really excited when I read that some project like Orbit is planning to run a gambling project in blockchain I can't wait what it will looks like.

Yeah, can't wait to have a feel I believe they are working to gain more traction in gambling/blockchain world. It gonna be something to watch out for.

This thread is getting more attention. I guess it’s because the project got a side that affect crypto users. Which is it allows you to get more Eth or Altcoins when you stake some other crypto currency. But that would require you to be lucky and know how to play. Finally an entertaining part of crypto.

I think it’s also because market is lowish and any chance to win and increase people’s holdings of crypto is a great longterm possibility for growth of funds

What I can imagine here is that gambling at Orbit will be genuine,  without any kind of cheating involved.  We have seen in many movies how payers do the cheating.

Another is I think making a gambling in the blockchain will be more secure thab other gambling projects out there. That's really a good idea of Orbit.

Yeah,  blockchain technology will allow people around the world to participate in this gambling platform.  User from many different locations will be able to play together.

Right.  I can play with my family and friends now who are in different country. Normally during festival like holi we used to pay cards together. But that fun was missing in past few years as we move to different parts of the world for jobs.

I love the fact that Orbit is not just a regular betting site. Orbit acts as a mediator between two individuals with different opinions about the  outcome of a match, giving the winner the agreed betting amount.

I think we're going to see an interesting end of 2018 and run up to 2019 it's going to be a big change i think as more of the world especially the gambling world starts to take note of what blockchain can actually offer them in the longrun, a truly open and visibile proovable gambling network is the future

If only this was already up and running during the world cup competition that took place this year, I believe they would have had lots of satisfied users preaching about them.

They look different from traditional gambling. A few added feature of Transparency and security plus being anonymous gives them an added advantage. It’s unfortunate more information about the project is yet to be disclosed, but with the little information available this project would be a win.

You don't have a contract code yet?
Who is the sponsor -and will pay such a huge prize?
there is no information on the site-everything looks vague and foggy Grin.

Hey, thanks for the question. The source code will be released within the next week, we are happy to share in a transparent wat everything we have been working in.

You must keep in mind that we are launching a peer to peer gambling game. The smart contracts manage funds, not us as an organization, so you can assume trust in the smart contracts, in short you are trusting each other and not a casino.

We are the sponsor, we are a collective of crypto and gambling experts. We have worked hard over the last 6 months to develop this game and we and confident it will have a huge impact in the space.

Apt answers I must say but then again I got thinking a little
Do you guys have reserve funds for the project? In the case a winning might be bigger than money held in the Orbit wallet, do you have second options of sourcing funds?

It is all peer-to-peer so we do not hold ETH in our wallet.
All money is paid out from one person to another

For now, I think the best place to contact the team and make whatever inquiry is on the discord channel, as their website and other social media platforms have not been made available to the public yet.

Yeah they haven't organised everything yet so all info is not available for everyone yet!
They will do that soon so for now you can just go over their Discord Server and get all the info you need!

Yes, this article really helps to understand how gambling/betting with Orbit works. Is it correct, that joining a ring is comparable to buy a lottery ticket? The more often you buy into a ring, the higher your chances of winning are.

Only 7 days to go. Who of you has already registered?
I'll be there and I'll take a look. At the moment, the crypto market is so boring, it makes such a fun project even joy
Yeah actually market seems really dull at this moment and trading is really ruining life with continues to make profit hard and harder!
At this stage trying to taste luck with Gambling seems promising!

Yeah, it's been a tough year. I don't feel particularly bullish at the moment about the markets. However, it is still nice to see new projects being developed even during this bear phase. It's a testament to blockchain technology because there are obviously people out there that aren't bothered about the price and they just want to use the tech which is good news for adoption.

Looks like everyone lost confidence in Cryptomarket now. No one is talking about bull market, ETH going to 1000 or so.

Well, a bull market won't happen just overnight. I hope we will see better times next year but it takes time to see some steady growth and new money coming into the market.

Absolutely, just because ETH reached $1,000 before does not mean it will hit that level again. I might not be feeling bullish right now but that doesn't mean I have completely written off cryptocurrencies. I just think it will take a bit longer than originally thought to grow back to all-time highs.

I really think in the next 12-18 months we will see global stock markets crash and we could see another recession. Look at markets now the FTSE is down over 10%, the S&P 500 also fell 10%. In 2008 (the last recession) markets fell 35% in The US, this caused massive banks and businesses to close. I think we are at the start of something bad for stock markets.

But this could be good news for crypto, in bear markets investors love an alternative investment. Crypto at the moment is the alt investment with the biggest potential, so I wonder if we could see a lot of money bleed from stock markets and then enter the crypto markets. It's going to be interesting to see what happens over the next couple of years.

Its quite an unpredictable situation at the moment but the fact is, things are going in the right direction, especially with the globe coming to terms with the blockchain industry as of before, more and more people are coming in and more brand are seeking means to utilize the technology that comes with it, so i see things turning around pretty fast

So i guess buying into a ring is one of the most important aspect of orbit. Is there a speculation if the price of the ring will be fixed?

As far as I understood, the total prize is 10 ETH. More number of people participates, they have to bet less? Also chance of winning will be less in that case. Risk will be lower however.

Yeah. Explains a lot. 10Eth was just an illustration. There’s an unlimited betting opportunity on orbit rings. The more you bet the higher your chance of winning. But it’s capped at 75% of the ring.
