Hey guys I opened my multidoge wallet yesterday and it opened fine but I couldn't send the coins out the send button remained greyed out. so I restarted my computer tried to open it and now it won't even open. tried uninstalling and reinstalling still won't open and then installed it on a different machine and it won't open on that computer either. Does anyone know how I can get access to my wallet???

In my opinion, there might be an error when you download a multidoge wallet. or indeed the Multidoge wallet is undergoing maintenance. it's better that you contact their support to solve your problem.

Hi. From what site you download wallet? It ask any update or what error you get when open wallet? You had coins on wallet or you send coins to that wallet yesterday? I think you should buy a hardware wallet if possible.

Haven't used this wallet but it seems that there were also complains about it before.

Did you installed the latest version?

Since I can't help you mostly with this, you might find someone an expert about this wallet on https://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/

There are a couple directions for fixing your problem, you could read this and this.

However, I want to make you sure you know that Multidoge last build is from January 2016. This being said, I'd advise you make sure you have a backup of your private key(s) and, if you cannot solve your problem easily, simply move to another wallet. If nothing else works, the core Dogecoin wallet clearly should.

I think that it can be done if doges.wallet wallet is not password protected.
I may be able to check and do some tests, but only after Tuesday or Wednesday.
Meanwhile please confirm that your wallet is not password protected.

Edit: you wrote that you can open multidoge. First please backup doges.wallet, then open mulitdoge. If that works, please export from there the private key, unencrypted. It should be the easiest. If this doesn't work, I'll try something more complicated.

:)This is the reason why I’m not interested in multi wallets. I think this is a problem and you have the risk of losing all your money on your wallet. If support refuses to help you.

I don't know much about the wallet, but it doesn't seem great from the reviews I have seen here so far. Thee are a good number of wallets out there these days, I can't be bothered about the few bad ones with hiccups here and there

I know enough, to be honest I want to use a multidoge but after knowing this I will not use it again and will be more careful in choosing a doge wallet.

yea it is password protected, but I have the password

If it's password protected you have to use Multidoge.
However, I am at the computer now and I can provide some steps.

!!! Make sure you do this on a clean computer. If you have some malware that gives out your private keys to 3rd party,, your doecoin will be lost forever. !!!

First of all, please make sure you made a backup of doges.wallet somewhere. Another partition, or an USB stick are the first options.
Then open Multidoge and make sure you have doges.wallet opened. If it's not, make an extra copy, let's say d:\test_doge\doges.wallet, go to Multidoge, File->Open Wallet->select d:\test_doge\doges.wallet
Open Tools->Export private keys and then in the list of wallets at the left make sure the correct wallet is selected. In the right area you'll see the path to the wallet file.

Type the wallet password.
In the section "Export file" make sure the path is OK for you and you remember it.
Then select "Do not password protect" and click "export private keys". (we need them clearly visible for importing into dogecoin core)

Make a copy of the resulted doges.key. Let's call it doges2.key

Open the resulted doges.key with Notepad (open notepad and drag doges.key into it).
There are plenty of rows that start with # and those don't matter, you can delete them.
At least one row will start with some long strange string of characters, then a space and a strange looking date.
That space and date you can also delete.
It'll remain only that strange long string. That's the private key which can be also imported into dogecoin core. Please save the file (you can overwrite doges.key).

I'll start with Importing into Multidoge.
File->New wallet.
Tools->Import private keys
At Import File click Import From and find doges2.key
Click Import private keys. Then wait patiently for the new wallet to synchronize.

If all the steps went well and you still cannot send out dogecoins, please keep doges.key and I'll make you the steps to import the key into dogecoin core.

!!! Please store your private keys safe, anyone that has them can spend your dogecoin. !!!

Edit:

Since I don't have Dogecoin to see Multidoge is still working at sending transactions (mine also shows disabled Send, but with 0 Doge it's normal), I'll be continuing with Dogecoin core.

Obviously download it from https://dogecoin.com/ , install it, start it.
Open doges.key into Notepad, copy the_long_strange_string, go back to Dogecoin core.
Help->Debug window. Go to the tab called Console and type + paste:
importprivkey the_long_strange_string
And press enter.
For a test go to File->Much receiving addresses, you should see your address in the list.
And wait. A lot. Probably days. Dogecoin core has to synchronize. It will use CPU, bandwidth and disk space.
On the bottom it shows how old are the blocks last synchronized.
When it's sync-ed, you should be able to spend your coins.
