Blockchain summits are they a waste of time.

I have see a lot of blockchain summits in my time and still no one as ever produced something usable ..

I hear people on stage talk about blockchains with politics rolled in I.E governance on blockchains but i see nothing getting done as in a usable useful working product ..

To many people building the same stuff like   wallets   exchanges   blockchain explores   just all the same nothing usable ..

All you are doing is thinking of ways how to pass TOKENS about  and 1000 tokens already do this ..

Proof of stake  why do people think it's only just come out?  been out for ages .VERI COIN proof of stake ..

Now all i see is ways how to pass money about some will say well i can pass you money with a bit of governance even though they don't know why they are voting..

It's a decentralized blockchain and anyone can add what they likes even without the vote remember it's DECENTRALIZED ..

If any TEZOS peoples   what are you building ?..You keep skipping past the question  You say we are building the future  what is it your building for the future please do tell
and this is not to just TEZOS  but all blockchains well 99% of them anyways ..

Blockchain summits remind me of the PYRAMID SCAM   they would have a hall full of people telling them how good and how rich they will be BUT only to be scammed ..

So please can a blockchain tell us all what they are building and what does it solve AND please don't say we are solving passing money about <EVERYONE IS AT IT..

Why not just pass bottle caps around?  just think with bottle caps you can make thinks with bottle caps and if your AREA decides they are worth swapping for goods then they are worth the same as crypto currencies  ..

Take tezos they are going to get 1000 devs by 2019  BUT what are these DEVS going to build MORE WALLETS? ..

TEZOS has Ocaml team who actually built Ocaml   BUT would rather waste millions and millions on more WALLETS   EXCHANGES   BLOCK EXPLORES when they have the
people who actually coded Ocaml   NOW i would tell Ocaml to build an IDEA   that is usable instead of wasting monies on NOTHING ..

Get something working for the masses by Ocaml   then like apple products you then employ 1000s of devs..

I see nothing by many many blockchains   all i hear and see is more wallets more exchanges more block explores more delegates all with no real PRODUCT..

You have made an invisible investment  oh look here is the product a TOKEN oh you can pass it about  and that's it..

Why do you have this TOKEN ?  what is it's purpose ?    ..

1 billion in ICO sales for tokens   and say when we build the boots those tokens can buy you rocket boots because you was the investor ..

Then get some scientist well so called scientist  even making a cup of tea you can define yourself as a scientist <Chemistry mixing milk with water tea and sugar chemistry ..
Then use some of your FREE monies to give away  AND even if it doesn't work you can say well we tried BUT  i the one who made the ICO still walks away very very rich for talking SHIT   oh and a created jobs..

You can create many many jobs so easy  WATCH.. i will create loads of jobs  I get builders to build walls then smash them down again and then build them back up..
Now you can say what's it's purpose  YES you can and that is what i am asking about BLOCKCHAINS   ..

Creating jobs like smashing walls down for no reason is easy BUT what is it's purpose ?  see we all don't live in the desert where a wallet comes in handy  we live in cities
were everyone is at close hand ..

And no some crypto wallets are brilliant BUT then why is everyone doing the same stuff..?  Look if everyone becomes a coder and everyone invented a token what is it's point
then ?  .. Considering everyone can code in the future does that mean everyone can invent free monies in a fashion?..

Then why not if BITCOIN and many many crypto projects could do it then why not someone else?..
Now if everyone does a token what will it be good for?  and remember you created loads of token tech jobs that are worthless ..

So is it fair that some coders now get the chance to make free monies in ICO  but soon if everyone can code not everyone can then why did your crypto be allowed but mine wont be ..BUT the point is you can create jobs that don't do shit   just all bullshit   so what can be done with blockchains that is useful and usable? ..


4.More Tax collection for Government from New companies and Businesses.

BUT it wont because of question 2   no one into crypto wants to pay taxes ..Ok so why not take it away from your profits straight from the exchange itself  ?..
Then no one can get away with not paying their fair share ..

See we as humans if you say pay taxes yourself we tend to hide it because the more money you have the more safe your life will be so saying to people if you want to pay more taxes then do it voluntary just doesn't work    we need a system were the computer code takes your profits and takes it straight out to the government or hospitals

Putting them on a massive exchange and doing videos for youtube on what it's purpose is and showing it actually working  on youtube will attract far more people than going around talking about  NOTHING ..Yes NOTHING..

Build a car   then show it off   you got a product    build a crypto wallet is not a product    it's a type of linden dollars   dingo dollars ..

Definitely not a waste of time. As technologically advanced as society now seems, it is still human beings and creative collaboration that is behind the world's progress.

This is what blockchain summits allow. A chance to meet face-to-face with others and achieve a broader understanding of what this all means!

I wouldn't say they're a waste of time, but the majority of people who are there are probably just trying to sell you whatever their new get rich quick scheme is or are just there to push their agenda in whatever way will make them richer or give them more power, so I'd be weary of that. As with everything else, money ruins good ideas or new technology and the greedy fight their way to the top to shout about their products or opinions and sadly the crypto industry is burgeoning one right now so a lot of people are getting involved hoping their coin or product will be the next big thing that will bring them untold riches.

I think is true to say that Blockchain summits are wast of time and peoples resources just to enrich the organizers and market products of upcoming ICOs projects. So far I haven't seen any Blockchain summits adding anything new to existing blockchain development.

Blockchain Summits are not a waste of time. As usual there are a lot of project and real developers to talk about product. Not everyone is scam. You can talk to real people face to face. It's a good opportunity to join real community.

Every tool can be as useful as they can be useless. If the objective of the summit is to network primarily, to promote and market, to spread awarenesa, then sure, they're useful in every commercial aspect (and that's really what summits are all about, they all have underlying economic agenda).

This section, though, is really about meetups, to my understanding, a very grassroot level sort of networking not so much between govts and enterprises but between people. Communities of users.

Money ruins it all I agree. Maybe it's naive of me to think this but more has been done for Bitcoin over regular coffee meetings that this Meetup section used to talk about... Than any blockchain summit has ever done.
