Why does anyone give a shit? It's no excuse to ruin a man's life and believe me these people who have stalked him pretty much have because they're either going to get stalked by the press constantly or they're going get onto the bankers' hit lists just to be made an example of and all of it won't matter whether they're the 'real' satoshi or not, they just want a spectacle.

Yup, anonymous mastermind(s?) creating some hot new disruptive tech and finding the guy before everyone else, it's a journalist wet dream.

I don't know if he is "the one", but if he isn't, we'll see a lot of false positives in the next months/years.

Why launch Bitcoin under a name even remotely similar to your actual name?

I think this was misdirected media attention, but there sounds like there is more to the story as well. As one of the quotes says he wasn't involved in it anymore.

Maybe Dorian was just a target for the original developers laughs.
