The adoption thing is not directed towards you, lemons. I understand your position. But the algo switch convo is directed to you.
I see that algo switch is very controversial. What I'll do is that I'll make new wallet with POS fix and inactive NeoScrypt. We can decide later when and if we should activate NeoScrypt. |

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

I see that algo switch is very controversial. What I'll do is that I'll make new wallet with POS fix and inactive NeoScrypt. We can decide later when and if we should activate NeoScrypt. I hope that in doing so, that the inactive neo code doesn't conflict somehow or slow things down. All it takes is a forgotten // or definition/command that searches for something neo related. I figure that you've already put work into the neo coding and you'd rather put it in the official code rather than scrap it, which is understandable. What if you went multi-algo: scrypt and neoscrypt? Possibly add sha-256 and x11/13/15? I'm not doubting your skill, but as a precautionary measure for the inactive neo code: can you please leave notes in the code for yourself or the next dev if, God forbid, something happens to you? |

I think THC is different than FTC, PXC and UFO. It could have a different effect than those coins had. Who knows though.
I was reading some other stuff from a few pages ago and I'm starting to like the idea of a more evenly distributed POW mining reward over the next 5 years and then the next 25 years. I'm also interested in knowing what percentage of blocks will be POS blocks? Is it a 50/50 split between POS and POW blocks?
I'm starting to think that POW miners get too many of the coins. Instead of asking people to give there hard earned money to start a "fund". I would be in favor of somehow getting 20,000,000 "premined" THC during the next wallet upgrade put into a multisig wallet. @with the lemons could get 1,000,000 coins for doing the wallet upgrade. Then the rest could be stored for uses over the next 20 years. Unlike other premined coins what were used to dump instantly, this premine would be done 1 year after and would hopefully not have any negative possibilities associated with it.

Since we have a trusted dev, a mid-mine shouldn't be a problem as far as scaring people away like a brand new coins premine, but not sure how this idea would turn out. More coins can always be written in later, maybe 20 million is a little steep for now? That's 8% of total PoW. And I'm sure it would be staked when PoS get fixed, adding even more coins.
And we do have the fund already started, should account for that, as well.

Miners do seem to be living the good life right now. They get 100% of all the coins, while everyone else gets nothing. It would be nice if everyone who helped in any little way could get some coins.
I'm not sure how that would be possible.

Miners do not get the coins for free, they invest in electricity and mining hardware, When buying you'll probable get them cheaper than mining especially in places where electricity is expensive |

How i see it there is just delay and "blablabla", nothing more. Very dissapointed and please dont say it is FUD because i support THC since the begining, i made the video animated that u can see in the OP... my old account was jmsr1978

Once the new wallet is released the price should adjust accordingly I would think. I don't think we will be seeing the 600 sat range for a while soon, but x2/x3/x5 is pretty easy from where we are now.
Let's not allow our fear to get the best of us, Lemons is working hard on the wallet and we as a community need to help out where we can. To start off with, lets keep our community strong and united, we are what will keep Hempcoin going into the future, lets not lose our sights because things are not rolling out as well as we were expecting. We will obviously have different views on the way forward, but lets keep it civilized and productive.
We should start brainstorming on what the next step is for Hempcoin after the new wallet release.

I'm working on getting hemp.cash to be multisig. It will allow for way more users as well as security for everyone. I know some people working with the new NFC tags for wallet security to help me as well. That might bring the value up. I love these low prices for now. |

Thanks Lemons for logging in and taking a look. so, neoscrypt sounds like a good idea then :-) My apologies for not taking much care of the pool recently. i don't always seem to get a notification when it has issues. stratum has always been up, but I understand its a turn off when the pool says " we are experiencing issues in the backend, blah blah blah". I will make sure to keep to a closer eye on it going forward and maybe some of the regulars will come back. |

No, it wouldn't be as simple as replacing NEOS with HEMP. NEOS is mutialgo, so it would require some work to make it work with old blockchain. It would decrease network security, because SHA256 attacks would be easy and Scrypt attacks are also not hard. Bonus blocks would have to be added and various variables changed. Electrum server should be possible with relative ease. Yes, THC is currentlly based on NVC code, but soon will be migrated to something else. |
