Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

you will get a line on cgminer startup before it begins scanning saying "no suitable long-poll found" and will show that blocks are being found. when you get a block accepted, if it orphans, it will disappear, if it confirms, it will stay in your wallet, if it rejects, it means someone has already confirmed that block.

Selling 8000THC. Message me!  Smiley

its not much different from pool mining. setup a .conf file for the daemon, create a .bat file that launches daemon in server mode with those perimeters that are inside the .conf.  The conf file has a login name you choose, you choose a password, and just make those the same as what you put in cgminer.  launch daemon with bat file and once its open launch cgminer.  your cgminer address where you would normally put the pool is going to be http://127.0.0.1 + the port of the coin that is specified by dev and that you put into the .conf file.

there is plenty out there and if you can pool mine you can solo mine. it just sucks waiting to fine a block, you dont see immediate results like you do with a pool so you wonder if your are actually mining even if its hashing on the screen lol
You replied to the wrong guy haha. He's right above me.

guess we will just have to hope he checks the threads lol

Hey guys, I have no relation with the dev.

Unforunately we have decided there will be no further support for THC. Hempcoin is trying to fill a role that has already been covered by numerous other coins including pot, kush, weed, joint, and others.

There will be no updates to the client and the pools will not reopen. Might as well uninstall your wallets. Thank you for the support, sorry it didn't work out. Our team has many more things to be doing right now that are ten times more profitable than this scam.

Thank you for trying out, if you didn't make the team this time there's always next year.

If you have no relation with the Dev, why would you step in and make a claim like this?

Hey guys I emailed the dev and was told the wallet issue was resolved and a new wallet will be replaced by tomorrow. I think its best that all inquiries be emailed as this is my second issue and I received a response via email each time. You guys can give up but I'll keep mining now that there's less miners.

SOLO MINING INSTRUCTIONS:[/size]

These are for Linux, but similar for windows as well

in your .Hempcoin directory make a file: Hempcoin.conf with the content as follows:

Code:
rpcuser=username_of_your_choice
rpcpassword=password_of_your_choice
rpcallowip=192.168.0.*
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9050

daemon=1
server=1
gen=0

addnode=69.10.58.157

start your wallet in server mode
./hemcoin-qt -server

then create a config file (let's call it "thc-solo.conf" put it inthe .cgminer dir,) for cgminer with your usual settings and the following contents
add failover info and add pool info :
Code:
"pools" : [
      {
"url" : "127.0.0.1:9050",
"user" : "your username",
"pass" : "your password"
},
{
"url" : "<pool url - this is for failover>",
"user" : "<your worker name>",
"pass" : "<your password>"
}
],

"failover-only" : true,

start cgminer:
Code:
./cgminer --config ~/.cgminer/thc-solo.conf

you should be mining solo now...

there were a couple of dependency files that may or may not have been causing some false-positives on virustotal.com. maybe they cleaning that up. i picked my pc apart and have found nothing so far, pc seems to be running find with no unusual flags. solo mining now though.

I thought the coin icon could use a slightly more professional look so I whipped up a brief concept. Interested in me continuing? I plan on making a gold coin version as well.
(Only spent about 5 mins on it so expect better)

Are you going to update the wallet link in the first post? It doesn't work at all now. Also what about adding the other pools?
