Over the years the number 666 has been seen and discussed at many different price points on this forum as being symbolic. The December peak on bitstamp was exactly $19,666. Do you believe this was a coincidence? if a huge whale intended for the peak to end in 666, how would he achieve that? could he set a big sell wall at 19,666 and then when it was hit add many more to crush the price down? Could many whales have conspired to make this happen?
Not to sound like a tin foil hat wearer, but I honestly don't see how this was just a coincidence.

The scenario you described could have happened but who knows if it actually did. Only someone who was accurately following the order book at that time could answer your question. I'm personally inclined to believe that it's just a coincidence. I see no real reason for a whale conspiring to make that happen. |

That's a large tinfoil hat over there, buddy. It's just a strange coincidence but doesn't mean much really. You can infer at that point that no one wanted to buy anymore and the fuel has since run dry, causing the price to stop at a rather unusual place. Or perhaps some whales have put a sell wall like you mentioned just for the lulz and make people think hard that this is something that came out of a devil's imagination. Nevertheless, it's a good find and I don't think we should start spilling holy water over our machines any time sooner lol.

There's no significance. I don't even believe that the number has any meaning. For some reason its symbolic to the occult just like the pentagram and goat's head. It's all a big joke. Even if some rich guy really put a sell wall at that exact spot for fun, does it change anything? Will you see Bitcoin in a different way from now on?
It's important to not to let things like that influence your everyday life. Not pressing the number 13 in the elevator, avoiding black cats, believing that the devil watches you and whispers in your ear. It will only make your life more miserable.

I think this is a happy stinging of circumstances, that someone noticed. In our life you can find a bunch of patterns, that mysteriously arise. In my opinion, this is just a number without any prejudices and subtexts. |

It is an interesting peak about I did not heard about yet. It could be coincidence, it could be psyhical level which someone may use for his pocket. That bull run clearly had to stop somewhere around 20k and this peak for me is funny fact.

Well to be fair I would be more into thinking that it is not a coincidence. However, I also don't think that it has some kind of a really deep meaning to it. Throughout the price history and at the times I follow charts I have noticed that the price tends to stay around for longer at prices like 666$, 6,666$, 1,337$, 7,777$, 16,666$ and probably the same sticks for the 19,666$ all time high. The thing is that the number is highly recognised and people try to make the price stick around it on purpose. People making it to stay around that level probably weakened the bulls and it lead to the trend reversal. |
