I may have to disagree as this fluctuations are just normally happening in the crypto market. It just happened that this year has more recurrence of bearish market and basically in this bear season, people tend to buy btc and more altcoins for them to hold further. It's in fact very stable for the moment. Last time we saw a similar stability in 2016 when the bear market was coming to an end. It certainly is an opportunity if you have money lying around. Especially that there's a lot of value to gain towards Bitcoin's previous all time high and very little to lose if we take 2017 prices as the bottom. It can maybe go another 1000 down, but at the same time 10,000 is a very probable price in 2019.

As far as bitcoin market is concern, I haven't seen fluctuations in recent months, it been quite stable. However, you have to understand that the market is based on speculation, so you will definitely see wild fluctuations from time to time. As others have said, high volatility is a friend of every traders, why? Because its a chance that anyone is waiting for, to jump in while the price is down and then wait for the next bull run to happen. Regarding if this is the right time to investment, honestly, well we have seen the price bottom at $5800-$5900, and at the current price, we're not far from the last bottom so definitely this is still a good buying point.

You don't have to invest into a fluctuating market if you don't want to. People invest into bitcoin for two reasons, one they believe in the project itself and how big it could get, two they believe they can get rich over night or at least faster this way than any other traditional method.

Markets do go crazy time to time but that also means you can spend a little amount on some small coin and come out a millionaire one day, it doesn't have to happen but if you check coins like IOTA and their ICO prices and than their all time high prices you can see how much someone could have made from it if invested at the right time and got out at the right time. That is what people want to achieve, they want to turn 100 dollars into a million dollars. Waiting time is not stressful for me right now, but I am worried with other people's emotions because they tend to give up due to current market chaos. Most of them weren't able to withstand with their goals and yet pulling out their assets free from crypto. Fluctuations are always there that's why it is risky to invest in crypto market compared to other markets because it is fairly new and many are taking advantage of this fluctuation to profit because compared to stocks and forex that are stable, movements are big and if you know what you are doing then you will be profitable else, you will lose your capital as fast as well if you don't practice risk management.
