Hi,

I have noticed that there are differences in MACD charts between ADAZ18 at BitMEX https://www.bitmex.com/app/trade/ADAZ18 and the same index at TradingView - https://www.tradingview.com/chart/?symbol=BITMEX%3AADAZ18

Please check standard MACD at 1 h chart, 06 Nov '18 00:00 - 00:03. As you can see the MACD crossovers are in different places.

Do anyone know why are they different? Maybe the MACD on BitMEX uses Index Price or Mark Price? Ant not Last Price (like on TradingView)?

I would be really grateful for your explaination.

Check how the MACD was averaged in each chart. The default for MACD is supposed to be the Exponential Moving Average, but check if TradingView and Bitmex are using it. One might be using the Weighted Moving Average or a Simple Moving Average.

Thank you. I checked only MACD options at BitMEX, but at TradingView there was option to change to SMA.

As I was trading in Bitmex the chart itself is way too different from Bitmex so I did have a hard time on trading and watching the charts in TradingView.

it may take several hours to be able to equal crypto prices on the market, I think the price difference between crypto markets can be utilized to trade arbitrage, only thing to think about is the discounted fees from the crypto market to other markets.
