Is that all you do is whine? I mean he has been keeping it steady for a while now and considering there was 3 different DDoS attacks against the exchange and all it did was slow down cut him some slack.

Want it on a "better" exchange go pay one of the others to put it up since thats the thing they like to do now.

People are talking about Greed buying IPOs. Extremely immature, look at the other side. People that don't mine coins risk their BTC into a project they believe in. You can also say that Miners are very greedy because they want all the coins for themselves to "get rich quick". So just shut up and be positive instead of spewing garbage

too right, saying IPO investors are greedy is like saying anyone who ever invested in a startup is greedy. It's a huge risk and takes balls so when things go really well from IPO investments the investors fully deserve the rewards as they took the associated risks.

I'm not an IPO investor in HVC, but I fully agree in terms of risk. You took the risks, so you should reap the rewards.

c-cex is still holding my BTC after they had their entire btc hot wallet stolen and a bunch of other coins transferred out
(holding my BTC because they have 0 available and are trying to pay ppl back what they had)

That's not true because I got my procedure 2 coins on March 8.

I should have wrote "remaining" procedure 2 stakeholders, to quote nomisugi's post.  So the assumption is that some procedure 2 stakeholders have already got their stake, as stated by you.

I've used only cryptoaltex.com.  I can't comment on the other two as I haven't used them. 

I've had no problems with buying coins off there, the only "issue" I would say is the length of time it takes for the BTC network to confirm your transaction, as cryptoaltex needs 2 confirmations before your BTC deposit reaches your online wallet.  Otherwise, it's worked very well from a functional point of view. 

It is secure in terms of logon as it requires two-factor authentication in order to access your account.  It also requires email or SMS confirmation to withdraw your coins, which can be a tiny bit cumbersome but I personally think it's a good thing as it makes it more secure. As soon as you confirm withdrawal the coins reach your local wallet almost instantly. 

Personally, I wouldn't leave any cryptocurrencies in an online wallet at any exchange, I always withdraw to my local wallet and secure it in any way I can, as I have control of it, not a website on the Internet which could potentially be hacked.

The difficulty is 35 right now, I don't see how any cpu in the world can hit that. I have a top of the line AMD FX-9370 and so it should be good at cpu mining. But not even all thre of my graphics cards would ever hit a block at a diff of 35.

No use to solomine now, at least not if you don't have access to 50+ cpus/cores. You should join some pool, stratum code is being tested in this moment so hopefully all pools will be up soon. If you don't want to wait then join pool hvc.1gh.com, they have been running fine the latest days.

When the "Mine Heavycoins" box is checked, you are definitely mining.

Fire up your debug console and type getmininginfo.

You will see the entry "hashespersec" : xxxxx, any value other than 0 confirms that you're mining.

I am the owner of CryptoALTeX.  I've recently (a few pages back) had a discussion about security with the owner of atomic-trade.  I would feel comfortable using either of our platforms.  I have heard numerous reports that c-cex has been having issues.

I would never leave my currency on an exchange, even on my own.  Why do I say that?  Because I work in the information security field and I see major business getting hacked daily.  That said I force more security than a lot of exchanges because I feel that this is what the crypto world needs right now.  Even one user who has their account hacked is bad for the community, the attacker will dump all your coins thus hurting the prices and wallets of everyone in the community.  

I require 2 factor logon because, why not?  Why not protect the users who refuse to use a unique secure password for each site.  Why send a withdraw to someone unverified besides username and password?  What if a user forgot to lock their computer and someone who knows they are doing coins walks up to it and withdrawals to their own address?  Sure they could possibly access the persons email as well but with smart phones etc users will receive the email and at least have a chance to click Deny on the transaction via the email link.

I hope the community realizes that the security measures taken are protect their investment and help to remove bad press articles about people losing coins.  Just yesterday I know of at least three exchanges that dont force 2-factor or email authentication for withdrawals that have had user funds stolen.  Someone hacked a pool website or there is a malicious pool out there that had their usernames/passwords stolen.  The attacker went to each exchange with a list of usernames and began draining their accounts.  There was even a user who said he was logged into coinex while seeing his coins selling and withdrawing, and he couldn't stop it from happening.  A simple email required to withdrawal would have made this user lose 0 funds.

I believe it is irresponsible and greedy for the big exchanges to not put these features in.  Sure it may turn off a few users from using their site but at what expense to our community?

If you look back a few pages you will see cryptoaltex and atomic-trade's information about security.  Not sure where you'll find c-cex's.

You're right it was a worthless attempt at that diff but the FX-9370 is not a tiny little cpu. You must be thinking of something else. This is $300 from AMD, and is the 2'nd best CPU you can buy from them right now. 8 cores oc'ed to 5Ghz isn't tiny buddy sorry. If you go over to any hardware forum or do any reading about cpu's you would know this. The only bigger single CPU's are the 12+ core Xeons and Opterons, which aren't even for desktop systems and run much slower in speed.
