I know this sounds odd.. but still an idea.. how about offering an amount of HVC in groupon? this would be like giving HVC for half the price but still  it would make some huge publicity for the normal user and promoting HVC as the next major cryptocurrency
what do you think?

2400MH/sec !!! Still paying 150 HVC over block reward...
--> In reality, I did not notice that reward was 725 and thought it was 750 - so I am actually rewarding 175 HVC more per block for now Smiley LOL

How do you guys feel if I move the FEE to 0% and survive only on donations?
Would any of you find that more appealing than 1% fee? Or does it even matter?

Let me know!

1700MH/sec and growing!!!

Paying out HVC's at higher amount than any other pool out there. Currently at 900 HVC's per block.

All of you people who are switching and helping our pool (and coin by decentralizing the mining power) are simply awesome!!!

THANK YOU!!!!

https://heavycoinpool.com/heavyCoinPoolLogo.png

~~ ANNOUNCING HeavycoinPool.com BLOCK BOUNTY ~~

We have allocated 10,000 HVC for our next block finders!

EACH and EVERY of our next 66 blocks found will pay out 150 HVC more to miners
than what the network gives.

So, right now at 750 per block - Blocks @ HeavycoinPool will pay out 900!

We're trying to raise the pool hashrate to at least 1GH/sec.

Please join!

Our latest block found is #8925.
The bounty starts from THE SECOND BLOCK after block 8952!
(just to confirm our MPOS changes are correct)

For a quick access, here's the latest cgminer with our RUN_MINER.bat file in it:
https://heavycoinpool.com/downloads/cgminer-3-7-3-heavycoin-v4.zip

and

Latest cuda miner with RUN_MINER.bat file in it as well:

it all does depend on publicity but we are out there now on a major exchange, we need to get on more exchanges, because that's more exposure for the coin and when gpu miners come over from bitcoin we will pick up a decent amount of that hashrate in all probability.

I'm making a heavycoin MPOS pool.

Why isn't there networkhashps in heavycoin?
"heavycoind getmininginfo" don't report "networkhashps" value.

And what settings do I have to set for MPOS.
The hash rate per second is far away from the miners are reporting.

Any help is appreciated.

This is coming in next release, which is due out soon.  In the meantime you can build your own here https://github.com/iquidus/heavycoin

Thanks.
And do you know the translation factor between the MPOS hashrate and miner hashrate?

Is it sha256d type or scrypt type for calculating hashpersec in MPOS, and what number do I have to multiply to it to look as real.
Maxcoin was sha256d type, and multiplied 256 to adjust the hashrate, but I have no idea and info about Heavycoin.

I would like to see more more activity focused on development here. What's going on with this coin that justifies a price increase?

Shouldn't the price keep falling with all the gpu mining?

why would it keep falling? these coins are getting harder and harder to obtain. plus if you have been reading he read you will know of all the advantages this coin has.

HODL for a month or cash out hvc regularly in btc ?  Whats the fastest way to recover fiat..

I cannot think in terms of mining expenses because I'm not a miner (or a very low profile one) but I would wait for at least three or four weeks before cashing out hvc at all.

I invested in the IPO, made profit and reinvested most profit back into hvc. I believe the devs are committed and this will improve. I'm not dreaming about moons, but once the community starts to work steadily and some effort is put in promotion (and hvc giveaways, either in groupon or twitter, priority #2 imo after having a lead promotion department) this coin will raise price.

Unless ASIC scrypt mining (and summer) push ten thousand GPU miners this way and they have no reason to hold, which is exactly what you are wondering about. And reasons will multiply through marketing and promotion.

I believe in holding hvc at least until things start to happen, and I think they will. It's early, even in crypto-time.
