I think their might be bots on the heads up tables, but in tournaments and normal cash I doubt they are

Just because I know you're listening to him, I wanted to clarify that this is not the reason the 5ks aren't running anymore or overlay.

Not a singled registered player for Big BTC?! Yeah, we have all read about player numbers declining (for whatever reason...) but this? Did the Big BTC really not take place due to not a single player registered?

When it cancels, it unregisters all players and therefore shows 0 registered. It needed 9 players to start and only got 8.

When is the big announcement coming? I'm giddy!

SWC has raised the rake on the BBJ tables without notifying the players once again.  Not notifying the players didn't go over too well last time.

Why are you raking more when tables are 2 and 3 handed at the BBJ tables when you can't qualify for the jackpot unless there are 4 or more players at the table?  Players who start Bad Beat Jackpot tables are now subsidizing the Bad Beat Jackpot prize pool with absolutely 0 benefits. If the software is not advanced enough to have it rake 3% when 2 or 3 handed, you should lower the cap substantially when 2 and 3 handed to compensate for the 20% increase.

If you are already raking an additional 20% from the Bad Beat Jackpot tables and solely funding the jackpot with this 20%, why are you charging a fee every time the jackpot hits? You are double raking the jackpot. So the 3.75% is actually 3.75 x 1.1 = 4.125%

You are also false advertising. You claim that the rake is 20% higher at the BBJ tables. If the rake is 3% at the BBJ tables, an additional 20% would be 3.6% not the 3.75% you are charging. Where is this .15% going.  Are you using pMath?

The BBJ drop changes just took effect. The website was updated and a tweet has gone out.  The change was that the promotion SwC had created where they were paying for the entire Bad Beat Jackpot has ended. The 4.9 BBJ that was just won was entirely funded by SwC.  Now a BBJ drop will be added to the regular rake.

Your point about 2 and 3 handed BBJ tables is what SwC intended, in that no extra drop should be taken, the website has been updated to reflect that the rake % at 2 or 3 handed will not be increased for the BBJ.  Also, SwC will contribute 20% of the rake when 2 or 3 players are dealt in at BBJ tables to go towards the BBJ, so in that way it is an added benefit to the players starting up games, albeit not directly.

When 4+ players are dealt in at BBJ tables, 20% of the drop will go towards the BBJ.  Thank you for catching the error we made in wording, as % increases does increase up to 25%.

For example, at 25/50 reg tables the rake % is 3% no matter how many players are dealt in, and the max rake taken 4+ handed is 220 chips. At the 25/50 BBJ tables the rake is 3% when 2 or 3 players are dealt in with the same caps as reg tables, and the rake + BBJ drop is 3.75%(a 25% increase) with a cap of 275(a 25% increase) when 4+ players are dealt in at a BBJ table.  The extra drop now represents 20% of the total rake and drop(extra drop of 55 chips with a total of 275 chips). Those 55 chips will go directly into the BBJ.

For 200/400 and higher, the drop % increase is slightly lower, but the max rake and drop taken increases the same 25%, from 280 to 350. And 20% of the drop, 70 chips in a max raked/dropped pot, will go directly to the BBJ.

So, no matter what limit BBJ you are playing, or how many players are dealt in, 20% of any drop will go directly into the BBJ.

The BBJ is not double raked, as 100% of the increase chips dropped for the BBJ go into the BBJ, and once it hits SwC does take a 10% administration fee.  So the correct formula for figuring out the rake for the 25/50 BBJ table would be (3 x 1) + (0.75 x 0.1) = 3.075%

Rake is defined by what a cardroom makes, and since 90% of the BBJ goes to the players, that 90% is not considered rake. And since 100% of the drop for the BBJ goes into the BBJ, it is only raked one time for 10%, when the BBJ is hit.

If you have any questions, let us know. SwC appreciates the time you took to make your post and wishes you the best of luck!

Swc is a well known and reputable poker casino, and has been around for many years now. Should you decide to play on there I think it probbaly is safer than any other random poker sites.

The 4.9 BBJ that was just won was entirely funded by SwC.

I saw the hand on Twitter, I think the hand deserves to be shared here too! Great hand, when both people get sets on the flop you know it will be a crazy hand! That ace on turn and that crazy jack on river would make any player to go all in!

Well didn't have luck to be there, I can only hope I will not miss it next time! BBJ is already over 1 btc, so what else to say than see you at the tables people!

I am not sure what is going on with all that flaming, if there are valid reasons for that or not - some people tend to always making arguments no matter what. Personally - and that is my very own opinion - I don't know why SwC is deleting all these posts. I do understand it from one point of view but still, deleting posts is never a good idea and makes things only worse.

There is a another reason for me posting this though - a purely positive one: We - and by we I mean a number of around 20+ users here on bitcointalk - couldn't be happier with SwC currently hosting the fourth bitcointalk poker series (a series of private games with a final game for the top 9). We have had little issues when it comes to support kind of things (not anymore!) but these were minor and on one hand... understandable since a private game they are not making a penny with, wouldn't be top priority for anyone, right?

Yeah - you have read that right. SwC are setting up 8 private tournaments (one per week) and charging us nothing for that - we don't even pay rake, fees... nada. In addition to that, they are setting up a final game with a guaranteed prize of 0.05 BTC that they sponsor and also a runners up freeroll with a prize of 0.01 BTC. The Grand Winner even gets a BIG BTC ticket. There is nothing we could complain about when it comes to our games and if it wasn't for SwC, we definitely wouldn't have managed to get to the point we are currently at - everybody really became friends and couldn't even imagine not playing a private game with the forum guys on Sundays - crazy.

If we leave out the chat restriction that nobody has been happy about, none of us has ever had the slightest problem. No problem with depositing, no problem with withdrawing, no problem with using their won tickets - all smooth.

As a conclusion: Yeah, there might be a few problems that some people here are seeing but I can honestly say I am super happy that there is a bitcoin poker room such as SwC where you simply sign up (no kyc bullshit ever), deposit and play.

So you think its not a problem to raise the rake TWICE and only make a statement AFTER being confronted?
Or the at least 2 players which have some kind of close relationship with the brand ( everybody suspects them to be on their payroll in some way) and they still play at the tables?

You live in a happy world my friend.

Most importantly: I do live in a happy world and actually, I am a happy person - maybe you should try this for yourself?

Raising the rake with no statement - nope, not cool but then again, is it a crime? It definitely sucks for us players and they should of course have announced this but in the end, it's their platform, they do as they wish and if you/we don't like it, move on (as some players seem to do according to you guys' statements). What's the point in arguing over and over? I have seen you post you abandoned the site weeks ago (or even months?) - what happened?

Regarding the players you are mentioning - any proof?

Disclaimer: I am not working for SwC, I am not a pathetic shill and I am the last person to fight with you guys, just chimed in to share my opinion which is my good right I like to think.

Edit: @scammed-by-nitro I really feel sad for you - get a life man, won't bother responding to you and I wish you best of luck in selling your gambling accounts, lol.

Rake was not raised twice. What you are referring to, the ending of the Bad Beat Jackpot promotion in which SwC Poker funded the BBJ 100%, happened when SwC adjusted the rake schedule several months ago, but did not want to start that aspect until the jackpot was hit.

The only difference is that BBJ tables now take a drop for the BBJ in which 100% of that drop goes into the BBJ.

If you play at non-BBJ tables, rake/drop is identical to how it has been for the past few months.

Your posts will continue to be deleted because you continue to lie and mislead other players, likely intentionally, and SwC will not give your voice a platform here.

If you do not like how anything is run at SwC, feel free to play elsewhere.....

We will continue to make improvements for our loyal players and are proud to continue to bring them epicly low rake.

Glad to see the thread is open and you guys are back to updating. Couldn't play the big one today busy with work, but managed to make it in for the double stack #39. Hoping to run better than most of my shots last week.
Today was the final qualifier for the forum series. Just wanted to throw out another thank you for the sponsorship. We've been having a ton of fun.

regarding the Championship are you guys handing out Avatars to event winners this time around?

Side note - Anything new and/or interesting going on at SWC. I can't keep tabs on the chat, but it sounded like there was something coming up or some announcement going on. Might have gotten mixed up can't be sure.
