Coin for the frustrated owners of expensive ASIC miners who're scavenging for rare sha-256 coins on the forum.

Scrypt will have the same fate. Go warn them.

We are a different group, not affiliated with that site. I've reached out to the dev and am awaiting a response. He is active on Other forums.

AmericanComputerNerd,

Thank you for taking on WAS.  I am very excited about this transition.

I'm truly sorry for not giving the much needed attention to WAS.

However, a coin revival group is exactly what is needed.

I will still be here and continue to promote.

While we are doing our analysis and prep work, can I get everyone that is interested in this coin to tell me a few things?  It will help me to get a good picture of the community, and more importantly see who is active.

First, what each of you think need to be done to make this coin successful?

Second, what attracted you to the coin to start with?

I have repeated this many times to others so I will repeat it here as the community deserves good input.Have a currency with a cap minimum 3% inflation. The health of the network depends on constant hash growth. This is a simple solution which will make the person who implements it rich.

Give the trendy feature shoppers all the bells and whistles and wow factor and due to large coin cap you are going to be looking at something similiar to bytecoin(BCN) as traded on poloniex.

Is mammix on the new dev team?

First of all I think it needs to stay as an SHA coin due to its name, the big question is that will it attract enough miners to sustain the network when it reaches 1000 coins per block? POS might not be a bad idea but then not many POS coins are doing well anyway.

We need multiple phases:

Phase I.
1. New Win/Mac/Linux wallets with HB patch.
2. Logo revamp/tweak. The current logo is nice, just needs a bit tweaking to make it more fancy
2. Android and IOS wallets (now with Apple's blessing)
3. Additional Block explorer, Rich list
4. Dedicated Faucet

Phase II.
1. Some sort of outreach or charity initiatives
2. Online wallet generator, additional game sites
3. Get listed on decent exchanges, WAS is not on any mainstream exchanges (Got delisted from Europex a couple days ago, Cryptoaltex and CryptoRush are dead)

Phase III.
1. Coinpayment and the likes
2. Coinkite and other dedicated merchant services
3. Online shops that accept WAS

I like this coin because it was not a P&D to begin with and all the instant mined coins have been given away to charity. It's really fast and solid for a coin.

I uploaded new wallets with the HB patch at https://github.com/Crypto2/WeAreSatoshi-Binaries (modified source at https://github.com/Crypto2/WeAreSatoshi). If the logo does change I'll have to upload new builds Smiley

New block explorer is up now at http://explore.was.club/
I'll be glad to add a faucet to it if someone is willing to donate the initial giveaway funds.
