Pura will no longer support it's official thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2129477.0

At the moment they will only support discussion on chat systems like telegram, discord, or facebook.

For documentation purposes and also to find infos/chronic it will be better to place relevant infos here to find it later on.

Example: the official homepage was suspended by the hosting provider: www.pura.one   (as of 25/08/2018)

Masternodes decreasing from 670 Masternodes (26/07/2018) to only 337 MN a month later (28/08/2018).
Actual numbers you can find on: https://masternodes.online/currencies/PURA/

Update from Austin (the only one official representant from Pura) from 14/08/2018:

- Over the past several weeks we have made lots of progress with the new version of the Aurora wallet. The past two weeks were challenging as we received multiple errors that needed to be corrected on the gateway level but we have solved most of them.
This was mainly due to the push to deploy system and the lack of understanding from the companies responsible for the VPN’s.
We literally helped re write the API’s on their side to speed things up and prevent timeouts to make this work.

- The latest version should be out very soon. Myself and the devs have continued to devote all of our time to these updates and more. Thank you to people like Mazza and Pink for keeping the peace while we have been working.

Status 29/08/2018:
- push-to-deploy Masternodes (wallet aurora)  are offline are reported by users. No info so far from Austin, when this will be solved. --

- Also the homepage www.pura.one  is still suspended, but officially registered until 2019-06-29

Exchanges in August:

1) while the daily turnover with pura was usually between 15.000 - 75.000 USD, it jumped from 27/08 - 29/08 to above 200.000 USD.
2) usually the highest Volume is traded on coinexchange, it changed on this high-volume days to Kucoin.

It looks like big investors were dealing on Kucoins some days. Let's wait, how the exchange turnover will be the next weeks, and if coinexchange will get the favorite again on average days.

Another week has gone. It is remarkable, that no support, no admin is online in the channels of pura:

Austin: - last message seen on on 14/08/2018

supporter for Austin:

Christian Crypto-Coiner.com - last message seen on 15/08/2018
Pink Cypto - last message seen on 28/05/2018 -
Mazza - last message seen at about 14/08/2018

All seen online today, but no infos and no news, not answering questions on the community. What does this mean? Will Pura not be supported anymore from anyone?

edit: Austin seen online on 04/09/2018 in telegram, but no news.

What is the role auf Avalon in this game?

The situation on Pura is dramatically worst on point of information.

As of 2018/09/10 Mazza has suspended his support for the pura group in telegram:

"Hi guys, I have been out of action for a while now, not just in Pura but in crypto in general. Although in the past I have done my best to help the community I am taking a step back from crypto in the sense that I still have my assets but choose not to focus on them at this time, too painful! So with that in mind I would ask you all not to expect me to answer any Pura related questions as I have not been keeping up to date with current happenings. I would suggest that people diversify their portfolios however as this would seem to be the most logical way to tackle these tough times. I have certainly done that. Jut to be clear... I am not abandoning Pura but have taken a step back from day in and out crypto."

This is not a good sign, as he was the one who had contact with the developers and austin as pura representative.

Today good news:

The active Masternodes are increasing: from a bottom of 340 MN last week to actual 436 Masternodes!

It could be possible that some push-to-deploy MN are working again. Also the price in BTC is stable at the moment at about 1300 SAT since a month.

Today we can look in the history of Pura - an the link to Avalon!

The story was found here:

https://cryptovest.com/news/avalon-life-project-chugs-along-but-is-it-a-pyramid-scheme/

Avalon Life Project Chugs Along, but Is it a Pyramid Scheme?

Popular in Germany, and spreading among crypto communities, the Avalon Life project may be hiding the risk of a pyramid scheme.

Just as the crypto markets remained shaky and saw short-term price drops, one of the coins broke away from the pack, in this case, Pura (PURA). This is not unusual in the case of coins with niche communities that are either going through a pump or are not seeing as much selling. But in the case of PURA, there are many more red flags.

The chief reason behind the rise in this asset, which is only available on niche or small exchanges, is its involvement in the complex scheme of the Avalon Life project. In a month, the price of PURA has doubled both in dollar terms and in BTC, and there are indications that the Avalon Life project has become more active, being advertised on Steemit and other social media.

Optioment: How European Authorities Handled a Crypto Ponzi Scheme

The Avalon Life project, however, raises too many red flags. Avalon Life, in short, promises high, guaranteed returns, by linking the Bitsurge project and the PURA token.

What happens is that Avalon Life sells Bitsurge investment packages - but only sells them through the PURA coin. So what we have starts to look like a Russian nesting doll of scams. PURA is at the bottom, rising in price as new users may attempt to buy Bitsurge packages. The Bitsurge packages work similar to BitConnect. And Avalon Life adds another layer of referrals and promotions.

The project has been active since May 2016, and picked up in the fall of 2017, as crypto coins came into mainstream attention. The social media presence for Avalon Life is patchy, with some YouTube promotion, and lately, a spreading of affiliate links through Steemit.

PURA Coin is a relatively old digital asset, created back in 2015, with negligible trading volumes and a rock-bottom price. The pickup for the coin came after October 2017, out of nowhere. The price growth was not organic, but fueled by the new scheme of Bitsurge to offer crypto lending.
Changing Tactics

Bitsurge used to be a paid Bitcoin faucet which required a payment to boost paybacks. It was considered a scam even then. But in 2017, the project seems to have taken up the "crypto lending" niche, which successfully hides pyramid schemes, at least for a while.

Before starting to sell investment packages, Avalon Life had another scheme, related to cloud mining. But as mining difficulty rose, or rather - as investors became aware that cloud mining would not be viable - Avalon Life switched teams.

According to Bitcointalk forum users, PURA was formerly Pura Vida coin, related to the earlier work of Avalon Life. And the two projects are linked by the same person at the helm - Tom Koller. He has been known to participate in similar MLM schemes in the past, and crypto coins are the latest iteration allowing to hide the pyramid structure.

And since scams tend to crash quickly, at the moment it is best to stay away from PURA, as the value may be lost within hours, without warning. Even with news from the coin itself, this digital asset may be considered tainted by a pyramid scheme, and as such posing a real risk for wiping out most of the value.

Today good news:

The masternodes from Pura (should be to ones from push-to-deploy system aurora) should be online again.

Amount of MN as of 16/09/2018: 536

(on 1st of Sep MN 337)

Looks like the problem with aurora is on track - maybe, we don't know, as Pura is a so called blackbox without infos since weeks.

Price of Pura went down to only

$0,058563 USD / 0,00000880 BTC on 24/09/2018

The active Masternode are now 481 MN on 23/09/2018 ( from 536 on 16/09/2018)

In the community there are rumors that the CEO Austin is leaving (or has already left) the project. All questions to him in person on telegram are unanswered, but he is daily online and see the rumors and problems of pura.
His announcemnt on a new wallet release by end of august/mid september was not fulfilled. Maybe there are big problems in development.

No support, no news, no official announced homepage (the official www.pura.one top level domain is registered until 2019 but is inactive).

Price of Pura went down again to:

$0,041308 USD / 0,00000637 BTC

No Infos so far from devs, no info from Marketing. Seems the project is still on a phaseout. As long as no support for community is available, as long the price will go lower.

Silence since months. Nobody knows, what's going on. The only thing what's going on, is the dropping of the price to actual

$0,008845 USD
0,00000259 BTC

as of 13/12/2018. As long as nobody takes over this ship which is on the way without a captain, the future is a big questionmark.
