We have just recently seen a huge price drop in bitcoin this just goes to remind us that anything is possible. I can't really predict if bitcoin would drop beyond $5000 I would personally not want that

Crypto is now on the world stage and while others choose  to leave or dump, remember others are ready to pick up cheap coins...I guess support is there which won't drive the price that low.

And the problem I have with these so called analysts, is they are self proclaimed experts that make assumptions which are never accurate.

Yes it can but 4800 is a very strong support level and many people will set to buy right below 5000 to finalize their trades above this support line. Usually bear markets in Bitcoin end with an 80% correction.
To understand why price won't go to 1000 or 2000 dollars you have to see the market for what it is. It's always an opportunity and traders who sell don't leave and forget about it. They wait for the right moment to buy.

I would hope that anyone interested in a long term position was cost averaging, not waiting with their wanking finger poised on the buy button for a figure that may never come, or look too high in retrospect.

I think it is possible to drop that further but ofcourse I am hopeful on btc recovery in the market. We always waiting for the bull run to happen but I think this year ends we cannot see an increase of price. If you are ready to take risks then buy btc.
